Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!

Hey everyone! I just found this thread. I interview today for the pediatric primary care MSN at Vanderbilt. I will let you guys know how the phone interview goes!

I received my application under review email Nov 30th and was asked to interview Jan 4th or 5th.!

In previous threads, they'd have one person call at a time and wait a while in between as to minimize the calling. Ha!

Brilliant! Maybe we can find out earlier that mid Feb.

During my CNM interview, they told me I would know sometime around February 14th. So maybe they do it by specialty?

Interview went well! They only asked me questions about my resume and personal statement. Very basic, and then she spoke about the program the rest of the time. Didn't feel like an interview at all, definitely didn't need to prepare. Nothing I prepared for was asked. Just easy questions like, you know Spanish? Are you an RN? Where do you work? Where do you live? etc.

Only one. They were too thrilled about my end goals like 10 years from now which is to have a DNP and be in hematology/oncology. But until then, my goals are obviously primary care. Other than that it went really well.

I've read that other people and myself were told in our Psych interview that they would make their decisions by Jan 22/23 and that we could call to check with them. Has anyone else heard that? I really want to know buy I feel anoying if I call.

And someone mentioned above that all PMHNP candidates receive an interview. I don't believe this to be true at all, I figured surviving to interviews was "round 1". Can someone confirm this?

I second MidwifeLife. My interviewer also said that we will be notified before Feb 14th i.e. Valentine's Day. So it will be sometime during the first two weeks of Feb.
