Hi! I'm starting a thread for Vanderbilt MSN Fall 2018. Anyone else applying too? Please comment!
In my PMHNP interview today and they said decisions may not even come out until March. I applied by the Nov 1 deadline. Do you think this means bad things for me? So nervous.
I wouldn't worry at all-it was probably just that your interviewer was misinformed (or ours were).
I hate wishing some of my life away, but boy do I wish it were February / March! I can't stand not knowing!! I'm hopeful for all of us
Hey everyone! I'm super late to the threads, but I applied 12/06/17 for Pre-specialty WHNP/AGPC dual... I haven't heard a thing. Has anyone else applied to that program/ applied later and heard anything??? Oh, and best wishes to everyone who has already gotten interviews!
I applied for the same dual specialty 11/1. About a month later I got an email that they were beginning to review applications, and they thought admissions decisions would start to go out mid-February on a rolling basis. As far as I can tell, they only interview specific specialities and WHNP/AGPC applicants aren't interviewed, so I think it's just sitting and waiting at this stage...
I heard that Vanderbilt does not find your clinical placements for you... can anyone confirm this? This seems very strange to me, given the reputation that Vanderbilt has/I wouldn't even know where to begin if I had to find my own clinical placements :/ Thoughts?
On the Psych interview they mentioned how the school tries to find clinical placements for you. I believe that you have to find placements of your own if you are NOT PreSpecialty.

It's a little weird based on what we've been hearing but it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. Are you applying for PreSpecialty?
