I haven't seen a thread yet for 2016 hopefuls, so I thought I'd start one. After much research and changing my mind back and forth, I decided to go for the Vanderbilt MSN. I would be direct entry as I already have my BSN. I finally decided on Pediatric Primary Care. I'm just worried about getting a job after graduation as I'm not really seeing much in the way of openings in the Nashville area--which is where I live.
Have any of the FNP applicants out there been contacted for an interview yet? When I called into admissions about updated transcripts, they said some of the FNP applicants would require an interview this year.
are you sure about this? when i called the admission, they said there is no interview for FNP applicants.
Morning all,
I know a faculty member in the school of nursing and yesterday I asked her if she had any idea about when applicants would be notified of admission. She wasn't sure, so she contacted a colleague on the admissions committee and they let her know that the first wave of letters are set to be sent out in "late January".
I personally trust this source and though it means we will all continue to wait, it's good to have more of a defined timeline. Hopefully we will hear something in 2-3 weeks...
I attended the open house last February, it is just for people interested in the program. Some people were there who had already been accepted others were there who had not applied yet but getting information. I think the invitation isn't related to your application. I don't know if that helps.

I agree that the wait has been brutal, but the time is going by swiftly. It has already been 8 weeks since turning in the applications on November 1st. Just one more month!
