Hey everyone,
I recently submitted my Nursing, Traditional application on May 11th! I have met all the requirements for the program for the past 2 years! However, I decided to hold off until my daughter started kindergarten. (I also have a two year old EEK!) I am so excited to hear back already!
For previous applicants/students: How long did you wait to hear back from them? How is the program overall? Is there any advice you'd like to give? Anyone remember or know what the first semester's schedule is like? Also, since I have completed my A.A, financial aid is saying that I have too many hours and need to submit an appeal form. Anyone else have to do this? Or, is there any scholarships that I can look into? Any advice would be a great deal of help!
Ahh, I'm so excited and nervous!!
Have any of you guys gone ahead and bought any items yet like stethoscope, watch, shoes, etc? I feel like I should be buying some stuff ahead of time that I know for a fact we will need that way I don't end up with this huge expense all at once. I was looking at stethoscopes last week and was really interested in the Littmann Classic III, any opinions?

My fiance surprised me today! he bought me a the Littmann lightweight ll SE, its color lilac :) and the penlight we need also his mother got me the watch its the white Casio one.. I read some reviews that said the material of the band don't stay white for long but it was a gift so I'm good with it :) the stethoscope had a lot more good review than bad so I'm happy so far.. if anything I'll get a new one after graduation, now I'm currently searching for the pressure cuff and white shoe... I agree with you things add up too fast!

That's awesome! I've heard good things about Littmanns so I definitely think I will get one of those. I heard the same thing about the casio watch in regards to the color fading out, I haven't checked to see if they have other color options. I like black for everything LOL.. as far as the white sneakers I wonder if they will be lenient on the color. I've seen some nikes that are white but with the swoosh logo a darker color haven't been able to find ones all white that aren't over $100.
jserrano97,
yes, its in the page where it tells you the cost by terms... its broken down 1st term:
2 simple calculators (no graphing calculator)
stethoscope
lab coat/ uniform
white tennis shoes
watch with second hand
blood pressure cuff
plus the lab kit, tuition, special fee and books... the penlight is not there but I heard we need it from other students...
hope this help :)

Meydiaz,
I just took it on Saturday and it was approximate 3.5 hours, you get the card right away and there is a 25 questions test at the end. The course was very hands on and the instructor was great. I took it through All Care Health Services. Hope this helps.
