Valencia Nursing Program 2016

Hey everyone,

I recently submitted my Nursing, Traditional application on May 11th! I have met all the requirements for the program for the past 2 years! However, I decided to hold off until my daughter started kindergarten. (I also have a two year old EEK!) I am so excited to hear back already!

For previous applicants/students: How long did you wait to hear back from them? How is the program overall? Is there any advice you'd like to give? Anyone remember or know what the first semester's schedule is like? Also, since I have completed my A.A, financial aid is saying that I have too many hours and need to submit an appeal form. Anyone else have to do this? Or, is there any scholarships that I can look into? Any advice would be a great deal of help!

Haha oh yeah, same here! I'm definitely a firm believer in the power of caffeine! I agree, hopefully our excitement will keep us going! I'm glad they have the FIT test there for us, one more thing to cross off the list!

Yeah I took a look on my phone, but I feel like I'll be able to get a closer look from the computer.

That's a good thing, we're definitely going to need a lot of coffee during school with all the studying we are going to have to put in. And I certainly hope it does! It definitely makes it easier with it being there,one less thing to make an appointment for.

It's definitely better from a computer. For some reason a lot of UCF things aren't exactly mobile friendly.

Hi guys! I just found this post and hope someone will see my reply even though I'm a little late. I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Florida and am applying to Valencia's concurrent program hoping to start in Fall 2017. I just wanted to know how's your experience been so far now that you're a few semesters in? Any tips/advice that would be helpful going into it? One of my friends just graduated from the program and she said getting A's is unheard of, which is extremely discouraging as I was really excited about the program and have aspirations of eventually getting my DNAP, which would require a high GPA. Any thoughts? Thank you so much!!
