Hello! I couldn't find any threads about Valencia for fall 2015 so I thought I'd make one. I've applied to UCF for fall but I've also applied for Valencia and will be be applying for the concurrent program as well, come may. So I thought hey, I may end up in Valencia's generic ASN track or the concurrent with Valencia/UCF so I wanted to start this thread up to seek out anyone else in the same position. Hello fellow hopefuls, how are you? Anxious? Excited? Impatient?
Overall GPA: 3.82
Science Prereq GPA: 3.67
Non-Science Prereq: 4.0
TEAS: 90.7%
I got mine today! I started the background check and realized that I need a lot more shots then I thought I did I am still really excited and can't wait to start. They say the first week is rough with all the adjustments and reading. I wish I could afford to buy the books now to get a head start
The stethoscope can be whatever kind and color you want. I got breast cancer edition pink littman with my daughters name engraved on it (my motivation and that way it can't get mixed up with anyone else's) I bought mine at medisave online for like $69. You also need a blood pressure cuff while you're at it.
Alright! I bought my stethoscope (teal with my name engraved as well!), blood pressure cuff, lab coat, Dansko shoes in white leather, a new watch with a second hand, and I'm doing my drug test and fingerprints on Monday! Physical is next week and additional blood work for titers. I'm actually getting stoked about ceasing my social life for the next two years! lol How is everyone else coming along with their paperwork!?
Did anyone apply after May 15th and get accepted for the traditional? It's not supposed to have a cut off but I applied a few days after and have not received my letter yet. I know most people are getting it in 3 weeks. I hope I don't have to wait for Spring. Did anyone make it to the Open House? I thought it was great!

I was accepted into the generic program. It took around 3 weeks for my acceptance letter. Someone in another forum said that they received an email saying that more info will come via email mid June. I wish they gave out more info, I have found out more from searching through these forums then anything. I got a white water resistant casio watch, not a digital on of course for when we do pulse for BP. I wish they would tell us what we need now so we can buy everything little by little :/ I've seen that you get the list of everything you need at orientation but I know you can get your own stethoscope, all white shoes and everything else I'm hoping I can wait on from the bookstore so I can use financial aid. Oh and I also read if you already have a lab coat you can pay like $7 to get the nursing patch sold on verse buying the labcoat with the patch. I'm so impatient
