If you are 100% sure of your conversions skills, then maybe do some practices online, and the practices offered through the Nursing ATLAS wesbite, and then give it a go. But I have to admit, the book is very helpful... I'd be safe than sorry. and if you have financial aid, they would cover books.

Thank you for the advice, BoraGirl02! Maybe you could answer a question for me as well... I'm currently working on my calculating dosages safely book before school starts. My question is, were you allowed to use a calculator, or is everything written out the long way? Thanks so much!

Hey Guys! Congrats to everyone for making it into Fall 2015! Did anyone else figure out exactly what to bring the first day of class(8-31-15 @9:00 in 4-120)? I remember it was the syllabus, and the calendar.... anything else? BTW- Team Red, anyone else!? I went to the bookstore today to purchase the Lab Kit and the Fundamentals of Nursing books (I guess they are using a different book all together this semester, and they aren't in yet). I guess from what I understood, is that the Lab Kits aren't in yet, and they are dispensed in class (if I remember from orientation). You can buy them online when online bookstore opens on the 31st, but if purchasing with Financial aid, you must wait till the 5th of August. I guess the new Fundamentals Bundle is about $336! All the other books I was able to purchase on AbeBooks.com, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble without having to pay insane bookstore prices! There is so much to get done, buy, and prepare for! It's nerve-wracking! Outside of textbooks, uniforms, and med supplies; does anyone know if there is a required list of school supplies for classes?? Thanks in advance! Congrats again, everyone! We worked hard to get here!

The immunizations were tough tracking down! Half of mine were back in VA, and come to find out, my pediatrician died died 10 years go! But, thankfully, everything has been recovered, and I just faxed in my last item for Certified Profile. Just waiting to hear for the next step which I'm thinking is Orientation!! I cant wait, guys! Anyone else getting excited!? Enjoy your last couple weeks of freedom!

All of them together from the Valencia bookstore totaled $1250!!! I bought every single books (both recommended and required & some new and some used) from various places online, and spent a total $504! I don't like renting textbooks, because I learn better by making notes in the books, and highlighting various information. I thought that was a HUGE success. Don't forget to keep track of how much everything is costing you for tax time!

Thanks guys! I'm going to check out the shirts tomorrow! Does anyone know anything about the financial aid? I know because it's a limited access program, and we're not technically students until all Certified Profile checks are cleared, but does anyone know when we will be offered scholarships, and financial aid since we have different specifications and requirements than normal students? TIA guys! It's getting close!!

I purchased my Stethoscope online, and the manufacturer engraved it at no charge... I think it was MyStethoscope.com... It was a Littman Classic III As for the vaccination records, I've chased down every imaginable alley way to find these records! I finally found most of them on the bottom of my high school transcript. With the chickenpox vacc, I had the pox before the vaccination came out, so I have to have titers drawn. I've completed my drug test, fingerprinting, and background check! I just need my physical and titers for the pox. It's getting so CLOSE! Anyone have any idea what else we can grab before orientation? (I've got the lab coat, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, watch, and shoes) I was wondering if there are specific style scrubs we have to buy (I know they have to be white). TIA!
