Valencia College Spring 2015

I just found out that I have been accepted into Valencia's Spring 2015 Nursing program!!! I heard from someone that it is possible to start a semester or two before your scheduled start date.....is that true? Also, can someone please tell me how much the uniforms (shirts) and other expenses are prior to the start of the program? I know you have to wear khaki pants...what about the sneakers? Is it all white or can it have some color added to it? What is the usual schedule for Nursing 1 and 2? Thank for any response you can provide! I can't wait to start! :yes:

Yea! Registered!! I registered at 9:05 and 6 students had all ready registered in that 5 minutes. Ha Ha!

I have completed all that paperwork. I still need to go get fitted for my uniform and pick up shoes. Anyone want to get me a pair for Christmas.

Can you tell I am excited!!

I'm in the silver team. I delayed too long this morning. I was making breakfast for the family. I went online around 945am and the RED team was full. WOW! So now I'm looking for the silver team. Who's with me???

Yay!! Dealing more official now...I'm team RED! I was sitting at my computer at 8:45 waiting to hit submit. I checked back at 9:07 and they were full! My friend that just graduated said that its always like this every term. Fighting for the spot you want... Crazy! Thanks for the fb page..I'm gonna go look it up now....can't wait guys!!

I was planning on stopping by the Uniform shop to order my uniform. I just looking through some of the papers we got at ornamentation and realized I was suppose to send an email to Todd, so he can verify my financial aid and send the info to the store. OUCH! I bet he is off this week and will not get to it until the first of December.

Anyone ordered their uniforms yet?

I have 2 lab coats that I used for Micro and A&P that I plan on taking to get the patches done. Mine are the nursing ones from Walmart. They are cheeper and look more girlie then the ones at the book store. No, I didn't buy one for each class. I left my lab coat at home and I live 45 minutes away. It was faster to just stop in walmart and pick up another one. I'm putting patches on both, so that I can always have a spare to use or loan.

Since we have a person in each of the 3 classes, we should have no problem telling the other classmates about the FB page.

I already bought my white clinicals uniform and had them embroider both the white pants and my lab coat which I used for Microbiology. I paid almost $60 for them!

Just left the uniform store...they didn't seem to have a lot of the woman's tips left...but they have lots of pants. I have to go back to pick up wed so thcause they have to put ribbon and VC logo on pants. I was d how much it was to embroider my lab coat and the said $7... My husband just surprised me with buying me a stethoscope.. A pink littmann. I'm excited! I forgot I have to buy scissors and a light pen ..I guess I will look on eBay sometime soon. Oh and I need to get nude granny panties...cause man those pants are super see through!! Hahah!

tvleon, now we can finally talk longer when classes start....our "chit-chat" during CPR class was too short! Expect to find me either in the first or second row during lecture coz im super near sighted (even with contacts or glasses)! lol
