Valencia College Spring 2015

I just found out that I have been accepted into Valencia's Spring 2015 Nursing program!!! I heard from someone that it is possible to start a semester or two before your scheduled start date.....is that true? Also, can someone please tell me how much the uniforms (shirts) and other expenses are prior to the start of the program? I know you have to wear khaki pants...what about the sneakers? Is it all white or can it have some color added to it? What is the usual schedule for Nursing 1 and 2? Thank for any response you can provide! I can't wait to start! :yes:

@tvleon13 Thanks for posting about the cpr class, I just signed up for the one on the 22nd. I will get everything else done after orientation. Until then, I will be studying. It is stressful and class has not even begun. That earlier poster that said the first exam in nursing 1 is over 21 chapters was not joking. My two girlfriends are in nursing IV right now and they said the same thing. Life is definitely about to change for us!

Same here! Soo excited that it is finally here. I am hoping to see a few faces that I met along the way. A few that I know chose to wait for the Summer 15. I can not wait to met my new classmates.

I think the school sets it up. If it doesn't then that is first on the todo list. I heard one of the West Campus Professor sets up several study groups on how to study and that she is GREAT! I hope it is the same at Osceola.

Looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow. Love everyone or hate them, they will be family for the next 2 years! Ha Ha

So uber excited!!!! Have my clothes already picked out...have lots to do tomorrow too after orientation... Have to get a new student I.d and need to stop by answer center to talk to them about my financial aid...whomp.... But I can't wait to meet everyone...don't be shy! Lol... My name is tiffany BTW... You can't miss me...I'm pretty tall and will have heels on so I will be even taller...lol... See you guys tomorrow morning!!! Eeekkkk!!!

Was good meeting you on Saturday. Sucks that it was at the end...lol... Not sure if anyone else was there on sat from here. And what about Fridays orientation... Lots of info. But I feel better now that I've been to orientation. Need to go back to campus to get a new id and still have to do my finger printing and drug test oh and background check. And I'm done. Parking decals for 2015 won't be available til after finals they said. Don't forget to get those cause you don't want parking tickets on your account. Need to go buy my uniform at the uniform store and put in order for lab kit. But I'm waiting for my fin aid to go in. Oh and if you didn't notice at the uniform store they said that if you're awarded financial aid that to contact them and let them know so they can verify it and you can have financial aid pay for your uniform. ;) OK well if anyone wants to exchange fb etc lmk. Yay!!

I am confused about the new ID. Is it for new students, or does everyone need to get a new one?

Are you picking up those books to study before school starts? I plan on getting the dosage book, you can buy it cheaper on Amazon. I bet it can be found other places too. But two of the books must be picked up at Valencia, I'm afraid I might get the wrong code or something.

@spangle they said that everyone needs a new ID. I mean I need one anyways cause I have one from back when I went straight out of highschool over 10 years ago!! I look like a ghost in it! Lol...

I will be getting the fundamentals book and the doasge book. But have to get from school cause of the access codes. And I don't wanna spend extra money to buy book then but code separate. All other books I can but elsewhere. You can get all the ISBN numbers online campus bookstore. Line up the names with the names they gave us. You will be fine. I need to start studying...lots to study to get ahead of the game! Let's do this! Lol

What building in west campus for the student ID? I go to east campus and I always get lost when I go to west campus.
