Valencia College 2019 Orlando

Hello!

I have a question for any Valencia College students in Orlando, Florida. How many of you are currently waiting to be accepted into nursing school for 2019? I submitted my application in June 2018, got wait-listed before the Spring term started. I'm currently waiting to be accept for the Summer or Fall 2019 term. Please share the date you submitted your application, if you've been accepted or any news on the status of your application. Would love to share our experiences. THANKS!

Hey guys! I was perusing the Registration area of Atlas and found that they have finally posted all of the class sections that will be offered for Summer 2019. For Nursing I, they have 4 sections available (2 daytime on WC, 1 evening on WC, and 1 daytime on OC). For some reason, I thought they only admitted 120 traditional applicants per term. This looks like ~160! Am I crazy? Or have they really opened an additional section?

Yes they increased to 160 starting of fall 2018, for every semester to have 160 seats.

Wow! Their website FAQs still says 120! This definitely improves our odds, eh? ?

Hi guys!

Are any of you also going to apply to the UCF or concurrent program? I’m so glad Valencia offers this, waiting to see if you even get accepted to the other ones is the worst! I applied for summer after fall grades were released so I don’t really think I will be offered for admission this semester.

Yeah, thats the way the Nursing advisor told me. That's why she said there's no reason why we shouldn't get into our semester that we're anticipating for because they raised the amount of students that they accept into the program every semester. The lady told me they raised it from 120 to 160.

That's so good to hear! Kind of relieves a bit of the worry. When I enrolled at Valencia to start prereqs it was 2015...there have been a lot of positive changes to their program since then. ?
