Valencia ASN Spring 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I have been patiently waiting for my acceptance letter to the Valencia ASN Spring 2018 program. Anyone receive theirs yet?????

When did you get your letter about being put on the waitlist in correlation with your submitted application?

When I applied in fall it was 2 days after the priority deadline, I received my Spring 2018 waitlist 5-6 weeks later. I received my official acceptance letter for Spring 2018 a little over a week ago.

I also applied at the end of August. I am thinking of pushing to starting in the summer if accepted to the spring ASN traditional. Gives me more time to get my kids situated before starting. I assumed I did not get in since I hadn't heard anything yet.

Specializes in Med/Surg, PCU,.

Do they send out emails at random times or at 5:00pm?

I am also waiting on a decision. Someone I know got an acceptance email yesterday, but I still haven't gotten anything so I thought that was strange. Hopefully we find out soon. The waiting is tough!

I don't know about the nursing program exactly, but if it helps at all I applied to their dental hygiene program a couple years ago and the email got sent out at 8:30 at night, so maybe that's the case with nursing as well.

When did you apply if you don't mind me asking?

I got my acceptance email between 3-5pm.

I got my acceptance like 1 week and a half ago and I'm already stressed with stuff I have to do. I applied late july as well.

Yeah, me too! I can't even find my vaccination records so now that adds on titers.

Do any of you have a list of what you need before starting? I am wondering how much I can try to get done in advance if I end up starting in the summer session. I am thinking at least the titers that are required.

Yeah I mean you'll need to do CPR certification if you don't already have one, all vaccination records, flu, TB, etc.

also, background check and drug screening but that can't be done until you're accepted into the program. I would start with all vaccination records and do the shots needed and go from there.
