  1. But on top of the reading did you have power points and stuff? Was tuition like 1 or 2,000 per semester? Your last post had me thinking I’m more of a classroom interaction person and it also motivates me. Thanks for answering!
  2. That sounds scary. Did you only meet the teacher on test day? Are there no recorded lectures? Did you feel like it was paced out enough for you to pass? And this program is only 4 semesters or is it 5? I know it’s a lot of questions LOL. Tuition wise it’s great I just have this fear of failing out (bad test anxiety).
  3. Do you feel like the lectures prepared you for the test?? What scores did you need to pass the semester? I’m going back and forth between this school and others because of the tuition.
  4. I suggest you start saving alotttt of money unless you get pell grants lol (the uniforms are costly as well). Got to have a plain watch, stethoscope, white shoes. Get cpr certified, get your immunizations/have them up to date ahead of time like mmr, rubella (can't rmbr them all) but google nursing immuniza, i'm sure schools ask for the same ones. They keep stressing dosages and the the book bc apparently its a big chunk of our grade."calculating dosages safely a dimensional analysis approach"get a head start and just review it now, its not a big book either. you can also go view the books at the bookstore just ask for nurs 1 bundle. ask me how my life is a month from now lol
  5. The orientation is this week and I'm nervous. I been filling out scholarships applications. Does anyone know if we register for classes? becuase I have no clue which ones I need
  6. I talked to my doctor and I'm sorting that out because that will be less expensive than paying the cost of having it done at the school and orientation is nov 10.. im pretty sure but I don't really look at it lol its getting serious.
  7. Isn't the tracker thing for the background check? so I have to pay that before the orientation but I don't have to have the background check done by then? I am frazzled lol it's all coming so close. I have yet to book the cpr class is that due by the november orientation?
  8. I got my acceptance like 1 week and a half ago and I'm already stressed with stuff I have to do. I applied late july as well.
  9. That's a good idea. I spent the day rewriting the systems and taking practice tests and taking notes on what I didn't understand. But instead of absorbing all this info I'm going to go in sections like you said. Hopefully second time is a charm. Seriously, I can't go through this stress again.
  10. trust me you need to know the systems; know the functions and hormones they produce. During my first time I noticed alotttt of genitourinary questions you can probably guess what I made pages of notes on.Know the organs involved, their placement in the body, what they do.
  11. The first time I took it I was about 1/3 into A&P1 so by the time I took the test and went back to class I was still being taught stuff that was on the teas exam. I'm trying to memorize and study it all. I am making list with bullet points and reviewing definitions. I think asking how and why will help me even more. My goal is to improve my science score so I can make the nursing application score. It's all stressful but I'll keep your tips in mind. I think the whole randomized questions thing also freaks me out because I don't want to over study one topic when it just might not be on there.
  12. Hi, I'm new to the site but I'm pretty sure you posted this a few days ago. I am taking the teas next week and I'm pretty nervous (second time). And I just want to basically know how you improved in science because that is my weak area. I have been studying the mometrix study guide. I have been studying the systems of the body in depth and trying to know the hormones but what would you suggest?
