Hello... I am also trying to write for Nurse 2 (currently Nurse I Level 3) and have been denied a couple of times already, although have several years of experience and a BSN.
Work really hard day everyday, initiated a few projects and attended workshops. Also mentor new hires on a regular basis as well.
I am not that great at writing and unfortunately have had no success getting help within my unit. It seems like I am on my own?
if anyone is willing to share some examples, a sample proficiency and/or pointers, that would be greatly appreciated!
I need some kind soul to provide examples of Nurse 2 proficiency.. I've been an RN for 35 years... Evaluation due in 2 days..New to VA with absolutely no guidance on how to write to a Nurse 2... my email is below. I will appreciate your Help more than you can imagine.
Here friends. I have removed any personal information, but this is my evaluation for promotion when I went from a Nurse 1 Level 3 to a 2. A few tips, pretend the people reading this are not nurses and have no clue what you do. Go into great, nauseating detail. The goal is to show you have affected change at the UNIT level. Precepting, re-writing a policy, being a super user for Cerner, any committees or doing a presentaion are all examples of that. Identify the problem, what you did and how it is sustainable as an outcome. When you get to Ethics, make sure you correlate your example to one of the ten ANA code of ethics. If you did research, site your examples like you are writing a school paper. You can re-write if you don't meet a dimension, but you do not have to re-write the entire thing only the ones you don't meet. If you need help, message me. Good luck!
