Hi everyone...
I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!
@CoopRN2012 I got the request I will accept as soon as I get on my laptop. My phone wont let me do it for some odd reason..I understand and know the feeling with Teas lol..Dont feel bad! That just means your motivated.I'm going to give it another shoot myself..Congrats on your score by the way hard work pays off @ the end! I will PM you later on!Talk to you soon.
Congrats to all that got in!!
I didn't get in and I'm really disappointed. The reason was that I had elected to wrong term for admittance. I've been in contact for a year and NEVER did they tell me to make sure my admittance term was Summer 2014, when I pulled up on BanWen and saw Summer 2013 I was floored. I'm not giving up though. I called Atlanta Technical College and will apply for the ADN program, deadline is April 28, then go forward to RN/BSN program next year.
@jonesel9, my M/S GPA is 3.4, with a Bachelor's Degree. I went up to Atlanta Tech yesterday and I didn't qualify because I got a C in AP, they only take B's in Math and Science. She said I can retake it over the summer, but will have to apply for Summer 2015. I don't know what score I need on Kaplan. I guess I need to just apply everywhere in Atlanta, Alabama and Tennessee. I can drive an hour from Atlanta. I had no idea it would be this competitive, I would have went a different route. I'm not eligible for financial aide and I'm already $12K in the hole and I have nothing. I'm also a 40yo stay at home wife/mother to a high school junior, senior and a college student, another year is a lifetime. I'm ready now.
