UWG Summer 2014

Hi everyone...

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to University of West Georgia Nursing School starting Summer 2014. We can all support each other and share the information and updates that we know of. I am a current sophomore at UWG. Right now my GPA is at a 3.56. I will be eligible for the bonus given to students that have taken 15 or more hours at West Georgia. Last night I went and toured the new nursing building...awesome! Anyways... hope I can get some feedback! We need a support group!

I agree @ Crickett404!!I didn't know it would be this competitive either.I think the best thing to do is to apply to all schools even out of state!Also look into ADN program and bridge over for BSN. I'm doing both routes because its ridiculous to have to wait so long to get into a program again.Nobody has that much time to waste especially since a lot of programs in ga only accept one semester not spring,summer,and fall.smh.But that's my plan.I heard its musch harder in ga than out of state like VA or etc.Im looking into VA schools now.

@Crickett404 omg!!!wait you had a 3.4 and bachelors!??and West ga didn't accept you?3.4 is great and second i thought they give points for degrees. smh I just don't understand their way of choosing people.

@Cricket404 have you looked at Bauder College?they also do Kaplan test..What is the Kaplan test?Like what sections are on there and is it harder than TEAS?

Yes I was placed on the waiting list. Apparently there are 30 spaces available on the list. Anyone else who got on the waiting list or know anyone who got on the list?

My gpa is 3.76 and I have a previous bachelors. I am still playing the waiting game. I have 24 hours to respond when I get a call. I am Very nervous. Congrats all those that got in. Do you know the likelihood of getting in when you are wait listed?

Congrats to you :).I hope you get in.Im sure if they have 30 seats left you will fill the spot.I've heard that most people do get in if placed on the waiting list if not the next round.You could be lucky.

Thanks jonese19 are you going to reapply next to UWG? Don't give up, there is no clear pattern how they select their students.
