UWF BSN 2015

Published

Anyone else out there applying for admissions for fall 2015 at UWF? I am applying as a second-degree seeking student.

Turned my application in.

I am applying to UWF, FGCU, USF, UCF (Daytona & Cocoa), and UNF.

Does anyone know if UWF conducts interviews for the nursing program?

Also how many people do they accept for each class?

I don't know how many are accepted for each class. It seems crazy we will not know anything until May. I heard back from FSU four weeks after the application deadline (I am wait-listed), so hopefully this will be an on-going trend!

They don't do interviews, and they usually take about 50 each year.

Did anyone else get a couple of emails today about their registration status?

Yup, I got those emails too. I think that's just in general for being admitted to UWF. I heard we will find out this week (March 4, maybe?) whether or not they received our BSN application.

Oh, jeez. Well, I mailed mine and received confirmation that it was signed by someone, so I do hope it was received just fine!

Anyone get any emails yet about whether or not they received your application?

Genonurse, I did not get an email regarding receival of my application.

I haven't gotten one either. Oh well. Maybe they weren't going to notify us? I'm not sure. That's just something I read on the box in the Nursing office where you drop off the application. I'll let you guys know if I get anything too!

Is there info out there on how many people usually apply, average gpa, average teas, etc?

I've asked before, and the nursing advisor said they typically receive between 125-150 applicants. Last year's cohorts had an average of 3.48 GPA and TEAS was about 85.

Mary_adams, what were your statistics applying?

Im not positive on my pre-req GPA because I'm not sure how UWF calculates it. I got a F in A&P2 the first time I took it, missed the withdrawal deadline..everything kind of went downhill from there lol. I retook it and got an A. I got a C in statistics and all of my other pre-reqs are A's.

Overall GPA 3.68

83.3 on TEAS
