Hello to anyone out there applying to UW DNP or currently in the program. I am applying to fall2015. I am wondering about ability to work and attend the program. Also are there any of you with children/family?, working? and able to keep up the load? How many students does the program accept. What is your track? I am interested in FNP track and very anxious about making into the program. I know it's quiet competitive. Please respond if you have any insight and would like to share your experience. Thank you.
Eric, I'm terribly sorry. I hope you receive better news in the future. Are you in Seattle? I live near Seattle but haven't heard anything yet. Maybe tomorrow.
I don't know if acceptance has much to do with RN experience. I'm also in the same boat and am currently a senior BSN student. A friend of mine was accepted into the DNP program last year and had 0 RN experience. She was also a senior BSN student at the time of application.
Best of luck to everyone and fingers crossed!
I live in Wallingford, right next to the university district, so it's really close to the UW. I also have a friend who got into the DNP for psych immediately after her BSN, but that program didn't have as many applicants by far as the fnp. I think 3 or 4 people from my class applied to the fnp, one for the anp, and nobody else applied.

That's ok , I was kinda expecting it. I am a current senior BSN student at the UW, so I had high hopes that I would get into the program at the get go. I have lots of global health experience and a public health degree, just not any experience working on the RN side of things. Hopefully it was for the best :) trying to keep my chin up.
