Hi! I'm applying for the UW BSN for next fall. This is my second time applying to the program and I really want to get in! I thought I would start a discussion so we can all help each other out since the application comes out this month and the essay questions are already out!

A little about myself:

-When I applied for this fall my nursing prerequisite gpa was a 3.0 and I retook one class and I believe now it is a 3.2 which isn't that great but they accept anywhere from a 2.4-4.0 for this fall so I am not too worried about that.

-When I applied for this fall I only had 120 healthcare experience hours and when I apply for next year I'll have well over 1,500.

-I'm also doing a study abroad program in maternal and child health in December before the app is due and this year i managed to get a job at Mary Bridge Children's hospital and recently got hired at Seattle Children's. I also got certified in neonatal resuscitation.

The recording about the proctured essay information session stated that there was no right answer. Just as long as you answer the questions to the best of your ability

Hi guys! How do you think you did? I'm feeling much more nervous now...not sure how great I did on the essay.

Did anybody round up their answer on the second math problem? I rounded up to 63 mL/hr, considering I've never set an IV pump with decimals, but now I'm thinking that I shouldn't have rounded.

I have heard that it is OK to miss one math problem, however, missing two math problems could raise a red flag. I felt like I was being very repetitive on the essay portion. But overall, I hope I got my major points across to the reviewers.

I did not round mine! I got 63. something though.

For the math portion, my answers were 1 tablet, 62.5 ml, and 26%.

I'm pretty nervous because I think I did well on the math portions, but that left me with little time on my essay cause the last math problem got me. Having to do 102/138..probably cause I was really nervous and I was overthinking. I rushed the essay portion....so I'm nervous

I got 1 tablet. 62.5 ml/hr also. Missed the 3rd....í ½í¸­

For the math i got...

1.) 1 tablet

2.) 63. something i don't remember

3.) 26%

What did you guys get???

For the essay I felt okay! Definitely not my best, but could have been worse.

I got 6.25 and i feel terrible for the second one and 26% because i rounded up. and the first one i got 1 tablet
