Hi! I'm applying for the UW BSN for next fall. This is my second time applying to the program and I really want to get in! I thought I would start a discussion so we can all help each other out since the application comes out this month and the essay questions are already out!
A little about myself:
-When I applied for this fall my nursing prerequisite gpa was a 3.0 and I retook one class and I believe now it is a 3.2 which isn't that great but they accept anywhere from a 2.4-4.0 for this fall so I am not too worried about that.
-When I applied for this fall I only had 120 healthcare experience hours and when I apply for next year I'll have well over 1,500.
-I'm also doing a study abroad program in maternal and child health in December before the app is due and this year i managed to get a job at Mary Bridge Children's hospital and recently got hired at Seattle Children's. I also got certified in neonatal resuscitation.

I believe they said "around the 15th" which probably means it comes within a time frame around the 15th, but no later than the 20th. UGH it feels like FOREVER!
I agree!! I am very nervous. I want the day to come, but am very nervous to see the end result. Hang in there. We are almost to the end......or beginning. How ever we look at it.
Did anyone get a confirmation from the office or Adrian Acosta about when they're expecting to release decisions? I hope Adrian post updates like the past forums! :)
I just wanted to let you all know that the BSN Admissions Committee is still in the process of making admissions decisions for the 2018 BSN cohort. We understand that our timeline is a little late this year, but we are doing our best to sort everything out to help ensure a positive experience in the program. I do not have an exact time frame for when you can expect a decision, but we are hoping before the end of the month.

Just to clarify-notification of admission to the nursing program is done through mail. Is this correct? I am confused on what we will receive via email.
