Hey guys !
I'm applying and I'm really nervous, but excited to start my nursing program soon. Anyone else applying to UW?
It was something like the medication prescribed was 50mg/kg, pt weighs 25.5 kg. The medication comes in liquid form 100mg/ml. How many ml should be given? After she said pens down I realized I was supposed to divide 50 by 25.5 to get rid of kg, then divide 100 by 2 to get the answer..... This will haunt me forever! How stupid of me...I chose scenario 3 about the 17 yr old.
Good luck everyone and congrats for being at the proctored essay session.
These types of math questions will come back in your pharm class.
It is just using rational thinking process. First divid 50 by 100 = 1/2 then multiply 1/2 by 25.5=12.75ml

blauren23, I did the same thing with my decimal point. As soon as I walked out I realized it.
cdo0, according to previous years' threads, everyone is sent a letter. The SON doesn't give acceptance via email/phone/etc. Last year, people got their letters around March 21st and the two years before that around April 1st. So fingers crossed that we get the letter early, too.
Hey, so a question for anyone who knows anything about SPU's nursing program. Do they incorporate or influence any kind of christian beliefs on the overall program? I applied there as well, but I'm not at all religious, even less Christian. I would really like to know if they instill a religious outlook throughout the BSN program.
By the way, I am being asked for an in person interview from them tomorrow..
Thanks!

Yes, I got the same answers for the last two math problems as you. I just assumed it was a he (hopefully I wont get disqualified because of that
).
