I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum and I know I'm a wee bit early, but is there anyone out there near Houston getting ready to apply for fall 2017 in a couple of months ?? Where are you academically ? I have micro and Chem left for this fall and I'm applying right before deadlines ! I keep saying it's far away, but it keeps coming closer and closer !

You should get an email from them on your personal email! Also be sure to check your JUNK MAIL. Many people in the past had it come in that way. Just a warning.

I'm assuming since it's so quiet in here that nobody has received an invite for an interview? If not, maybe we will hear something next week.

I received 2 emails. The first was asking me if I'd like to be considered for the summer term, and the second one was an interview request for the fall admission. The first round has been sent out. Good luck you guys! My interview is about 3 weeks away.

When did you receive those emails?

I received the first one on Feb 28th and the second one this afternoon. I called and set up my interview as soon as I saw the email.

Yep starting to internally panic now at the idea that I didn't even get called for an interview. I know it's early but I was really hoping to at least get an interview.

Not that it makes you feel any better, but you're not alone. I know the Fall is the toughest semester to get accepted, but am still wishing for the best.

Easier said than done, I know, but try not to panic because they do tons and tons of interview waves!

Didn't get anything either...next week for sure interviews will be sent out. I hope I hear from TWU too

Thanks for this. I'm second guessing the way that I wrote my entrance essay. I wouldn't panic except when I called to check on my application she said they may not even look at me over my TEAS English section but other than that I looked very competitive, more so for spring than summer. I made a 77.3 on my TEAS and it would have been significantly higher except I BOMBED the English with a 68. I made above a 75 on every other section. I was hoping my personal statement would really pull me up. Clearly I can read, speak, and write English well. I wrote a thesis both times I was in grad school and I've been published multiple times. I'm retaking my TEAS on Wednesday just in case I don't get in and need to apply for Spring. I would have retaken it sooner but I was in the middle of having back surgery and it just didn't work out well enough for there to be a date open before Wednesday. I just hope it's all enough. I've never not been accepted to an academic program I applied to and I don't want this to be the first that happens with. Guess we shall see soon.

The English section messed me up too the first time. Don't feel bad because the first time I took it I did well in every other section except english, and I'm a native speaker. I can write very well, but I made a 58 in English the first time! So embarrassing. I really thought I was prepared. I retook it and scored better. Good luck with your application!

Thank you! That does make me feel better to hear someone else bombed it, retook it, and did better.
