UTMB UTHealh fall 2017

I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum and I know I'm a wee bit early, but is there anyone out there near Houston getting ready to apply for fall 2017 in a couple of months ?? Where are you academically ? I have micro and Chem left for this fall and I'm applying right before deadlines ! I keep saying it's far away, but it keeps coming closer and closer !

Hi ! No I haven't started studying for it yet. I am taking a&p 1 and 2 this summer so I want to get those complete before I take the test. I heard the teas study guide on their website is really good. Also I use the online practice teas tests here and there !

Hi guys I applied at UTMB for Spring 2017 on May 9th. I called the admissions office last week and the lady told me that they'll be sending out interview invites around mid June to late June..aaaahhhh the anticipation is killing meeee!! Anyone got any news yet??

Hey everyone I plan on applying for Fall 2017. So exciting it will be here before we know it. I still have micro, bio, and chem left not sure which two science courses I should take . Any advice on which two I should take this fall?

I'll be applying for Fall 2017! I have micro left for this fall semester. I will also be taking Lifespan G&D, statistics, and TX gov.. Let me know if you guys have any input on these courses!

Hi! My last science pre reqs are micro and Chem and I'm taking them fall session which begins tomorrow at HCC :-) then I'm taking my teas and HESI around that time. Isnt biology a pre req for micro ?

For stats I took it at HCC online ... I got an A, but it was hard ! I absolutely hated it ! I'm also taking micro for this fall ! The class begins tomorrow at 8am.

I'm at south too. I had to take the fall semester off this year due to pregnancy, but I will be completing my last semester there in the spring before the programs start. Luckily, I have all this time to study up for the TEAS V & Hesi exams. The only bad thing is that I'll have to double up on science courses this next spring to be completed in time for the program. The only courses standing in between me and nursing school is A&P2, Micro, Lifespan, & Nutrition. :woot:

Hello everyone, I need a little insight...

I was originally planning on applying to UTMB for Summer 2017, but I'm not sure if I should postpone to Fall 2017.

This is my situation: I work full-time, am taking Microbiology and Nutrition now, and have been intermittently studying to take my HESI for UT Health (took initially in June, retaking for better score).

The UTMB Summer 2017 application deadline is end of October. Should I switch my focus to studying for the TEAS VI and try to take it prior to the deadline? Or should I wait and apply to Fall 2017, which applications open in November.

I am still planning on applying to UT Health Summer 2017, because their application is open until January 15.

On a side note, is anyone married, going to be married, etc - and if accepted to UTMB planning on staying on the island during the school week?

I'll be getting married April next year, and was planning on getting a dorm/apartment for the week, then driving back to Richmond/Rosenberg (for my spouse) during the weekend.
