Hi guys!! I finally heard from UTMB about my application. The verdict: I got denied It's a sad thing but I am also starting at UH this Fall for my BS in Human Resources Development and I will be graduating in a year!! I believe this is a blessing in disguise for me. If I still want to pursue Nursing, I can just apply again for second degree Nursing at UH. It feels better to at least hear something and not being left hanging. So yayyy!! Congrats to everyone who got in and for those of us who didn't, always be positive, always have a plan B and always be prepared for the outcome. God knows where you are meant to be.

I emailed Elizabeth Botello about my application and she replied back promptly, about 2 hours later. She said they are still reviewing applications and will be doing so for the next 6-8 weeks. So hang in there guys!! As long as we didn't get a rejection letter, there is still hope!! Congrats to everyone who got in and who got interviewed!!

I haven't heard anything back as well girl...I submitted my application/supplemental on May 9th..so who knows right?? I also got accepted at University of Houston just today so we'll see...

Congratulations!! Yaaaayy!! Good luck on the interview! As for me, I submitted my NCAS application on May 7th and submitted my supplemental app on May 9th. Still haven't heard anything. I feel like I'm a mediocre applicant as well, my GPA is not too great, so I don't think they will have me as a priority for interviews. Although I have 6 years of experience being a registered medical assistant, IDK if that will help me. I have applied at University of Houston for the BS Economics program and I am currently working on my pre-reqs at HCC for the Electrical Engineering program but I want to switch because engineering is just toooooo hard for me. Anyways, good luck to all of us!! Keep us posted of any interview invites and acceptances/denials.

Hi guys I applied at UTMB for Spring 2017 on May 9th. I called the admissions office last week and the lady told me that they'll be sending out interview invites around mid June to late June..aaaahhhh the anticipation is killing meeee!! Anyone got any news yet??

Hi guys! I have also applied for Spring 2017 at UTMB SON. My application has been complete since May 1st. Now it's just a matter of waiting. I will be commuting from Houston so I don't really know what to expect. I went to the open house and they said it's doable. Classes are Mon- Fri but the time varies. Some days you go from like 9am-1pm and other days from 1pm- 4pm but you can expect to be really busy with studying and clinicals (which is once a week). Any news on when they will be sending out letters?? Good luck to all of us!!

Hello! I'm new to this site and I have just submitted my NURSINGCAS application to UTMB Spring 2017. I'm just wondering if anyone here is from Houston and how bad is the commute to UTMB? It would be great if someone can tell me what the class schedule is like. Do we have to go to class everyday and for how many hours a day? Please enlighten me. I have a 6 month old baby and need to figure out my schedule. Thank you so much!!
