Hey everyone. I’m starting this thread to see how everyone’s status is going with their applications. I applied for Spring 2020 traditional BSN on 02/01/19. My transcripts were verified today 02/15/20. Does anyone know when I’ll receive the supplemental application?
Do you guys know when the second wave of acceptances will come? My stats are:
85.3 on TEAS- Lowest in English with a 79.2.
3.42 Pre-req GPA (I got a C in Chemistry my freshman year)
I also have my BLS/CPR certification and I think I have a pretty solid personal statement. I hope this is enough!

I haven’t heard anything and I’ve been trying so hard to be patient lol. I thought we would have heard something by now because I figured the people who got accepted would have had their time to accept or reject the offer. However, I think on one of the previous spring forums someone mentioned that around this time the staff has like two vacations or something? So maybe that’s why we haven’t heard back yet. Hopefully soon.

Yeah I do think they take vacations. I spoke with Ms. Botello yesterday and she told me that she just got back from her vacation and that their next meeting will be between end of July and beginning of August. She said some of the board is on going to be on vacation so that’s why they are doing it later.
Important Application Information!!!!! I am Accepted Spring 2020!!!
I took my TEAS exam the 2nd week of April. I made a 78.8 % (highest in math and anatomy) so, definitely not the best. I turned in my application two days before the application deadline. I received my acceptance June 17,2019 at 3:40 PM (1st wave). It does NOT matter when you turn in your application. My GPA is a 4.0 (overall and nursing GPA). I encourage everyone to tour their campus! When I toured, they explained to everyone that the personal statement is very very very very important in the application process. They even said that last semester they had about 90 people with a 4.0 who applied and about 20 of them were not accepted because they had a weak personal statement. ALSO, they said that they are NOT doing interviews anymore. I am not sure if that starts spring 2020 or the summer 2020, but I feel like it is spring. SO that means the personal statement is even more important. What I wrote on my personal statement: what I believe a nurse brings to society, what I want my role in society to be, my volunteer experience, time management between working, clubs and school, lastly my academic struggles. For those who get wait listed, do NOT worry! They said that by the time December rolls around they are still bringing new people to the wait list.
Hi all.
Has anyone else's peoplesoft portal changed today? I am no longer able to see my to-do list or application status.
@Tanith Tracy Perkins Thanks for the reply. Good to know it's not just me. It seems as though they updated the system and parts of it are broken for now.

Hi yall, ive seen a couple threads similar to this. I got rejected in the fall 2019 semester. My GPA was a 3.7 overall, and a 3.8 in science. I got an 80 on my TEAS and didn't make it. I retook it before the spring deadline and made an 88. I got accepted in the first wave. I also got my CPR done which I think helped as well. Good luck to you all!
