UTMB Tradtional BSN Spring 2020

Hey everyone. I’m starting this thread to see how everyone’s status is going with their applications. I applied for Spring 2020 traditional BSN on 02/01/19. My transcripts were verified today 02/15/20. Does anyone know when I’ll receive the supplemental application?

Hi! I have been keeping up with this forum for awhile now but it’s my first time now commenting haha. But I got accepted yesterday at 8:48 am! I SCREAMED and bawled my eyes out bc I was so scared of waiting and waiting since I finished all my prerequisites.

I was not waitlisted nor was I accepted; It was just ‘completed’ in the portal. I think I got accepted the “2nd wave” is what you might call it, which was so weird bc I thought I got declined from over a month ago when they did the 1st wave acceptances and so I gave up and tried other nursing programs (or so I thought).

My Teas score is not that competitive at all in my opinion as it was a 78 compared to my other friends that made it in the Fall 2019 with an 81 and 84 (both having 4.0s). I was actually studying to take the TEAS again set for next week to apply to TWU spring 2020 ,but that’s out of the picture now LOL.

My GPA throughout on all scales is a 4.0, and I would have to say that I poured my spirit into my personal statement and I made it more personal than analytical; overall I was confident about it.

UTMB is actually my 1st choice and I’m so excited to see everyone who made it! And hopefully the people that are waitlisted are able to join us as well!!! Ahh

Hi, this was my first time applying.

My gpa was sub 3.5 because of extenuating circumstances along with a TEAS score of 89. I also have 1 year of ongoing work experience as a pharmacy technician.

STILL waiting for either a yes, no or waitlist at this point. Pretty sure it’s a no but ANY information would be better than no information LOL.

If they asked you for fingerprints than you are on the waitlist or accepted.. Have you checked your portal.?

Yep, I have checked, all it says is completed and it has said that since my application was submitted and verified. There isn't anywhere to accept admission etc. I haven't recieved any communication telling me i've been waitlisted or accepted at this point. I did call and she said i'd know either way within two weeks because they're meeting is on monday. At this point i'm also just finishing out the process because I accepted an offer to another nursing school and have already started that program. Even though UTMB was my first choice, it thought my chances were slim due to the NursingCAS mix up with my GPA.

Hey I was just wondering for the people that have accepted admissions did your status change to “intention to matriculate”? I’m just nervous that I did something wrong. I made the payment and then got a page thanking me for the payment but when I went to look at my welcome email I saw that at the bottom it said I should have seen a page that was titled “payment history” and that if I didn’t I should stop and call them? I’m just hoping I didn’t mess up by not stopping. Thanks in advance!!!

@Hatkins yep, when I called Monday of this past week she said EVERYONE would have a decision one way or the other within two weeks. Until then, we wait!

I just got the email I was waitlisted. Lots of mixed feelings happening. Glad it’s not a denial, but bummed it’s not an acceptance.

I got the email that I was waitlisted yesterday as well, I’m actually impressed it wasn’t a flat out denial with my GPA mix up! Congratulations to all of you who were accepted!! I’ll do my BSN at UTMB ❤️

Has anyone not heard back yet? I have not received an email correspondence and my application can no longer be found in my star, but I received an identigo email today. although, it could be from another program.
