UTMB Fall 2021
Hey girl, so glad to hear that! First, I will say that program directors did the best they could during the pandemic in terms of handling and having to completely change the way to carry out educating and getting us prepared for NCLEX with all of the required hours for clinicals and labs etc... From March 2020 -now we have had a mixture of virtual clinicals and labs that are done online with simulation courses as if you were making decisions in clinical but with computerized patients... We still had in person clinicals and labs as much as we could. I think we are back at 100% in clinicals but don't quote me. Atleast 4th semester was 100% in person. (things will start opening back up in the future). Lectures will most likely still be online (and this is a blessing because it saves so much time and they usually record them so you can relisten). Your tests will most likely be on campus. I don't live on the island because I am a long term resident of this area, but in know a lot of the people do live in Galveston and the student housing. One of my good friends was in the honors program and she did very well. I know there are requirements that you have to fulfill to stay in the program like participating in student government and attending certain events and maybe some other stuff but it was manageable. I think she got her entire tuition covered to which was amazing.

UTMB Tradtional BSN Spring 2020
Hi yall, ive seen a couple threads similar to this. I got rejected in the fall 2019 semester. My GPA was a 3.7 overall, and a 3.8 in science. I got an 80 on my TEAS and didn't make it. I retook it before the spring deadline and made an 88. I got accepted in the first wave. I also got my CPR done which I think helped as well. Good luck to you all!

I got an email from the school of admissions declining my application. My mystar stayed green complete but never changed.

UTMB Tradtional BSN Spring 2020
I got an acceptance today! God is good y'all. If it helps, I got rejected in the fall of 2019 with the same GPA (3.8) I submitted for this application. The only differences where that I had a better TEAS score of 87% (Fall was 80%), I got my CPR cert done, and A LOT OF PRAYERS. Looking forward to hearing from all of you, and congrats to all who have persevered and not given up!
