UTMB Summer 2018

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

I want to vomit I'm so nervous.

I just received an email for an interview! I scheduled it for November 20th so hopefully all will go well. If you haven't received any word yet try checking your email!

I agree. At this point everything is speculation. Every admission cycle is different also. They said 4-6 weeks, so I won't get my hopes to hear anything until week 6.

No, interviews are not over. They try to meet every 2 weeks. Since interview invitations went out this afternoon, the previous poster who said they were meeting on the 13th must have had accurate information. At this stage, they will decide on some interviews and some acceptances. The first acceptances will probably happen this week (the acceptances are a more manual process than the invitation to interview email and take longer to go out). I was accepted on a Thursday to Spring 2018 and we had multiple waves of interviews/acceptances. Many people were accepted a month before I was even offered an interview, so don't lose hope! Also, I saw my acceptance on mystar a few days before receiving the email notification.

I was given an unconventional answer of 2-3 weeks wait time to hear back, but standard (at least what I am seeing) is 4-6 weeks

Yes. Many of us applying for Spring also applied to Summer because we were still waiting to hear at the Summer deadline. One of the fall applicants stayed on our Spring thread and her information was very helpful so I thought I would share as well.

The green circle next to application complete changed to a check mark (and don't worry when once you accept your admission it goes back to "complete" with a circle). The biggest indicator is where it shows your balance, it will show a balance of $200 for your deposit.
