UTMB Summer 2018

Published

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

Ohhh okay. That makes more sense. I was confused lol. My interview is Friday! I'm a little nervous í ½í¸¬

So what happens is you sign in and wait in an office with a couple other people and then you all go into a room where they discuss housing and what UTMB has to offer. Then after they separate yall and have your individual interview. DONT BE NERVOUS. My interview was a completely breeze (at least i think). I got there at 8:00 and went into my interview around8:45 and didn't get out till after 10:00. Me and my interviewer had so much in common, we even talked after the interview. It was literally like talking to a friend. You have nothing to worry about just brush up on your personal essay and be your complete self!

Has anyone who was interviewed, heard back? I had mine on 10/30 and I'm so anxious! i heard it could be a week to five weeks till we hear something back.

I interviewed on that day as well and was told 4-6 weeks!

Anybody knows what happens if you applied for Spring 2018 and got waitlisted, but applied for the Summer 2018? I have heard that you don't need to be interviewed again.

Has anyone heard when the second round of interviews will start?

What is the lastest date for the first round of interviews?

Hi so I have an interview Friday, but I have laryngitis and sound like a frog when I am lucky enough to produce any sort of sound. I already got into my first choice (UT Health), but I wanted to go to this interview anyway since I have only ever been interviewed twice in my life. I have a feeling I will just go to the interview any way, but I am curious as to how/if my lack of voice will affect it. Any advice or comments?

I don't think your voice will affect it too much, they will have to understand. However, if you are just going to go without really wanting to attend UTMB, then I would cancel the interview. There are people who have been waiting for interviews and that can give them an opportunity to take your spot so they get a chance too! I hope you feel better and congrats on getting into UT Health!

The last interview day that was on the email they sent me was Dec 4.

Yeah my acceptance to UT Health is conditional (I'm taking some courses right now, etc), so after thinking it over today, I think I am going to go in case something goes wrong with UT Health (I honestly am really skeptical about how finite conditional seats are) and I truly end up needing to go to utmb. Thank you for the advice!

I think they already sent out the second wave because my options ended on Nov. 6. It's like the sent one wave and then another before the first wave ever finished.

I have been accepted to UTH and have my interview on Friday as well! What time is yours?
