UTMB Summer 2018

I just wanted to start a group for those applying to UTMB nursing summer 2018 start! I didn't see a thread and figured there was some of us who could use one!

I have already taken my teas and will be submitting my application soon! This would be a great place for us to compare timelines and answer any questions I'm sure we all have! I look forward to hearing from other applicants.

I also believe it is the personal statement that matters the most. I did well on my TEAS but my science gia was below a 3.0.

I agree with the personal statement being one of the most important things they look at. My gpa is a 4.0 but I made a 78 on the teas. /:

I got my interview in the first wave of notificants. TEAS 91 GPA 3.6~ higher for science and prereqs. I have something like 1000+ volunteer hours, but my personal statement, at least in my eyes, was weak. It gave a clear picture of who I am and how I had come to the conclusion of nursing, but I don't feel I am a good writer.

Thanks for sharing yall, my Gpa is 3.6 after completing all my prereqs not sure what my science gpa is though, and 74% on teas :(. I would say im a pretty strong writer, I left my heart out on the personal statement but im a bit paranoid it might not be good enough.

Hey guys, I just heard back yesterday morning that I have been put on the waitlist for Spring 2018. Hopefully, I get accepted into the Summer 2018! Since everyone is posting their stats, I thought that I would share mine because it might give hope to some! My overall TEAS score was a 75% (reading: 78.7%, math: 81.3%, science:66%, and English: 79.2%), my science GPA is 3.15, and my overall is a 3.34. My stats aren't the best, but it was enough to get me interviewed and be put on the waitlist. I'm just REALLY hoping that I will get accepted into the Summer 2018!

Hello, I'm starting to feel a bit discouraged because it seems like everyone here has gotten an interview scheduled. I have not received anything from UTMB quiet yet. I have somewhere between a 3.0 and 3.5 GPAs and an 83.3% on my overall TEAS. I would like to think my personal statement was strong, but would anyone like to share a snip of what theirs sounded like? Also, can someone ask the people in the office when the next wave of interview emails might go out?

They have only sent out the first round of interviews and they typically send out four (or at least this is what I hear). I wouldn't worry.

It does feel a bit discouraging, but hopefully they send the next wave soon. Don't lose hope! there are still 3 more waves left. :)
