Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

Hi, I am a summer 2017 applicant and had my interview in mid-December. Since then, I have not heard back from them regarding an acceptance or denial and I already have emailed ms. Botello twice. Now hearing that the fall applicants are being emailed, it is very concerning and I think it's quite unfair. They applied for the fall wave and I feel like it isn't right for them to email them to be considered for summer.

Did u have your interview yet?

Yes. Last Thursday. She said she would highly recommend me and I should hear this week

I really want to email them to let them know how concerning it is and unfair for the rest of the summer applicants who haven't heard back. So discouraging

That's nice. What kind of questions r they ask?

Really simple stuff really.

She asked about my support system, study habits, how I handle challenges. She gave me a scenario in which my grades were slipping and had me explain what I would do. Then she had me ask my questions. We just sort of talked for about an hour.

That more than likely will not help your case at all when it comes to the application process TBH. I would not do that if I were you. The emails were already sent out to several students. Your opinion on how fair it is will not change the fact of what has already been done. I DO agree with you though! I thought it was unfair too! I have never ever heard of them doing this before. Honestly, I would be pissed too if I had applied for the fall and they were emailing spring students to see if they'd like a chance at the fall. I get your frustrations, but I doubt sending an email expressing your opinion on this will only hurt you. I regret mentioning anything about this except I was excited for the opportunity and I wanted to be a part of this group if I ended up getting accepted a semester early. Still, good luck. Also, may I ask your stats? It's fine if you don't want to share. I understand.

It was just a thought. I know where I stand with this concern. At this point all I could do is be patient. I believe all this waiting is really just making me anxious.
