UTMB Summer 2017

Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

Any updates for anyone today? I expected to hear something either way today but still holding out! Hoping some of us got good news!

Mrs. Botello finally emailed me back saying that they have another meeting next week & will hopefully have decisions sent out by the end of next week!

Did you get an interview or are you waiting?

This is my second time applying -- I got an interview the first time, but not this time.

Mrs. Botello finally emailed me back saying that they have another meeting next week & will hopefully have decisions sent out by the end of next week!

I wonder if that means more interviews are still to be had or if the meeting next Monday is simply to decide acceptances / rejections for those already interviewed?!? Eeek!

At my interview on the 16th, she told me that I should know something within 2 weeks either way. So I'm not really expecting anything until then, and they could be doing interviews all the way until then, I'm not sure.

Did everyone see the email from Mrs. Botello stating that if you haven't heard anything you are still be considered for admission? That is hopeful news! I will continue anxiously waiting lol.

Looking back it seems like most acceptances come out on Wednesdays. So I'm thinking this Wednesday we'll know

Im hoping for today but I think tomorrow is more likely. Lots of paperwork and what not. Plus it seems like acceptances are usually sent on Wednesday based on earlier waves
