UTMB Summer 2017

Hi future nurses! I didn't see a discussion board for the summer term of 2017, so I decided to make one myself(: Let's use this forum to discuss grades, TEAS, and the application process. This does include venting! We all know how anxiety kicks in when there's a bump in the road. Good luck to everyone that is applying!

I can't wait for the application period opens. Anyone that is re-applying, any tips?

Hi all! I'm a Fall 2017 applicant and I was included in a wave of e-mails that went out today encouraging some Fall 2017 applicants to consider admission for Summer 2017. If y'all are still waiting, I'm sure you'll be hearing back super soon! Ms. Botello gave us til this Friday (March 3) to decide. I think the Fall applicant pool is pretty big :nailbiting: I'll be calling her tomorrow to see what the situation is for us Fall people.

I applied for the fall of 17 and received an email from Mrs botello asking if I was willing to be considered for the summer term. If y'all are still waiting to hear, I'm sure it'll be this week. Good luck you guys!

That's correct. I overheard another student in my class that also received the same email that I did. We have until March 3rd to accept the invite and set up an interview or decline and wait for the fall. There may be students declining the offer which would open more opportunities for original summer applicants. I've never even heard of them doing this before. The fall applicant pool must be gigantic.

No, it's sad that they rather email the applicants for fall than considering us.

At what point do we call? I agree. I really hope we are being considered in a separate wave. Especially since they have until Friday to set up an interview. If we're in the same wave we willnt know for several more weeks.
