UTMB Summer 2016

Hey guys! I couldn't find a thread for UTMB Summer 2016 so I decided to make one. I guess because it's a little early since they just open for applications. This is the first time I use NursingCAS so I'm not quite sure how it work yet. If anyone is familiar with NursingCAS, could you please share your experience? I sent in my transcript 3 days ago and right now I'm working on my personal statement. I saw some previous threads where people mentioned about MyStar and supplemental application/document? Is it something you will receive after you submit everything on NursingCAS?

Well to be completely honest with you guys I cried during my interview because my interviewer asked me a really personal question... She asked me who my support system was and thought about my mom and the sacrifices she made so I freaked out.. haha but other than that be prepared to know whats important in your personal statement, who is you support system, reasons why you wanna be a nurse etc. don't be afraid to be yourself because the overall interview was pretty chill! And yes i do plan on applying for the summer.

Hey guys do y'all know if UTMB will take my TEAS V stats from a previous time I took it and not from the most recent time? I did better my first time taking it. If anyone can get back to me I would appreciate it!

I think someone said they take the highest score but to make sure you should call them to find out

I only have enrollment services number and email. Not sure if they will have the answer for you but if anything just ask them to transfer you to the right department. Good luck!

Hey y'all, I spoke to one of the ladies today at UTMB and she encouraged me to apply for both summer and fall 2016 admissions, but it seems so odd that she would suggest that to me so late in the application period. I only planned on applying to the fall 2016 admissions cycle. If NursingCAS receives everything by the deadline will they still submit the application?

Yes, you are able to turn in which ever you choose they will only look at the one that you provide them

I am still waiting on my verifying. I wished that I could of just done my application earlier into the application cycle. :/ I guess it is all about the waiting.
