UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

I know a Facebook group will be started, but I'm anxious to meet some of y'all who have been accepted!! Anyone interested in connecting on Facebook?

I might be one of the only students who has no social media, so I won't be meeting any of y'all until orientation right before school starts. I say the day of orientation if there's time we post on this thread where to meet, just to meet each other

If anything we can add each other via our utmb emails when the time comes. Eventually establish study groups once school begins

Btw, I did ask about study rooms at my interview. Of course the library, but my experience at other colleges hasn't been all that great with room availability. We are able to use open classrooms for group study! I really like that idea because they have whiteboards and we don't have to worry about disturbing others or being distracted by others making too much noise.

I am excited to get things going and to meet my new cohort!

I have also been checking for the posting of the Spring 2018 student guide.....nothing yet, still shows the Fall 2017 guide.

That's awesome about being able to utilize the classrooms and it's a nursing school so I'm sure it's better than a regular cc or university study areas. Same here can't wait to complain and groan about not having enough time to do anything with yall ha

I've been accepted!! I just checked my Mystar and it says admitted!! SO thankful, blessed and relieved!! I interviewed on August 11th and have now been accepted today, August 17th. Yayyyyy!!!

i got accepted today too! i was waitlisted for fall & i interviewed with that app cycle in may, so i guess they don't require you to be interviewed twice. anyway, looking forward to meeting y'all in a few months!!

I interviewed Aug 10th! Has anyone else from this time frame/wave gotten an acceptance or heard anything, other than kellyvivian?????

Hey guys! How many spots do they have left? I have my interview next week on Thursday, but I am afraid that spots are filling up? So does the admission commitee decide on the applicant once the interview is over if they are accepted or not?
