  1. We can get our immunizations done now, in fact I am starting mine next week to be sure I have ample time to get them done. I ordered most of my supplies already, except my scrubs and already filled out the order form for our lab coat ceremony. We have to wait to do the background check, fingerprinting, DO, insurance info until November. I went apartment hunting on Sunday on the island. There is some great places (Carelton Courtyard/Parks at Cedar Lawn/Captain's Landing), and there is also some not so great places as well. I actually mapped out the addresses of the apartments on the list I was given at my interview and so it was much easier to navigate and separate what apartments were vs were not close to campus. My name is Samantha Freeman and I am also on the UTMB FB! Feel free to add me! I can't wait to meet our cohort and experience this crazy ride together! :-)
  2. Just got my emails too í ½í¸‚ Sorry @onthepath I'm impatient lol
  3. Hey @onthepath, how long did it take you to get your student guide after acceptance?
  4. YALL!!!!! I got accepted!!! Now what do I do LOL! Wait for the emails to my new student account then go from there????
  5. I haven't heard anything back since my interview either (which was before Harvey and directly before Fall orientation was supposed to begin). I'm sure they are still half out of office. I know they have new Fall students to tend to and trying to handle whatever damages that Harvey left them with. I'm hoping the delay is just that. Best wishes to everyone affected, and hopeful for quick responses to all of us that haven't received an acceptance yet!
  6. @AGH1 This happened to me as well. I called the SON and they said that it was pretty standard for the transcripts to be processed during this time frame and that it didn't mean anything towards an acceptance/denial. It's just letting me know what needs to be completed before enrollment if I get an acceptance. Hope that helps!
  7. I've yet to be accepted but I have zero health field experience. I have a super strong personal story though that makes me as an individual stick out. I don't think they care to hear cliche stuff that anyone can come up with. Make it real, raw, and give them the opportunity to know you. As far as the rounds go, I think they have brackets by overall competitive-ness. Seemed like the first ones to interview had pretty high GPAs, then the next group of interviews seemed to have GPAs closer to 3.5 and a little lower TEAS scores. I don't think there's only four groups, but I'm not sure. It's just a theory. When I was interviewed, he said that after the interview, they write a report and allllllllll the info (interview, GPA, science GPA, teas scores, personal statement) gets piled together and the admissions team decides by overall ability. He said even having an interview is a big deal. Still praying for an acceptance and congrats to all those already in !!!!!! í ½í¸Š
  8. I don't have an acceptance yet (that I know of - still unsure where exactly to look) BUT my to-do list on mystar changed and said I need to "complete my final three pre-reqs prior to my enrollment" (I'm already enrolled to take them this fall). Did this happen to anyone else??? My mystar has never been updated other than that today.
  9. I interviewed Aug 10th! Has anyone else from this time frame/wave gotten an acceptance or heard anything, other than kellyvivian?????
  10. Congrats!!!
  11. Just for future knowledge, where on MyStar Portal does it show your acceptance? Is it bright and obvious or do we have to click on something to go find that info if we get accepted?
  12. Interviewing this Thursday!!! I'm SO nervous but ready to be closer to finding out! Wish me luck!
  13. You were told that if you have a withdraw acceptance won't happen? Jules81
  14. You can take the TEAS as many times as you'd like. But nursingCAS asks that you submit all attempted scores I believe.
  15. What program are you in? I called today about the traditional BSN program and they said they hadn't started interviews yet.
