UTMB Spring 2018

Hello everyone! I plan on applying to UTMB for Spring 2018 entry and can't find a post on it, so I decided to make one! I am taking my TEAS end of April. I already have a degree from the University of Houston in Health Communication and minor in Nutrition. I am finishing my last two prerequisites (A&P2, Microbiology) right now at a community college. Anyone else looking to apply? Deadline is coming up next month, so I thought it would be awesome to get a group thread going! Would love to hear from others applying!

TDap is only for people who under 22 years old right? I'm 30

No that's required for everyone, meningcoccocal is what is required if your under 22 when class starts in Jan

Just for future knowledge, where on MyStar Portal does it show your acceptance? Is it bright and obvious or do we have to click on something to go find that info if we get accepted?

It's bright and obvious, when you login on the left side where it usually has a balance or something like that it will say you have been admitted and have a debt of 200 via echeck or 206 via cc..there you go :)

I went for my interview on August 2nd, and I just noticed today that they changed my "to-do list" on MyStar to list all my courses I am taking this next semester to finish up my pre-reqs. Anyone else have this happen? Just curious if this is a good sign...

I also interviewed on the same day but I don't see any changes. :/

Not everyone will see changes. If you've finished all your prereqs you may not have any thing for your to do list.

Yes wait to do your fingerprints. They will send you an email on where to schedule because it has to be done with their specific company or they will not accept it. Drug screens cannot be done sooner than like 70 days before starting. For fall we were not allowed to initiate a drug screen until July 1 but it had to be done by August 1. The fingerprint place in Pearland had absolutely no waiting and only took about 15 minutes.

My email was at 8:40 am, I think someone else posted thats the time they got their email as well so I'm assuming maybe the just emailed a small group all at once?

I read thru the new student guide and it mentioned the Facebook page and the name it is under but haven't been able to find it. Has anyone else looked for it/found it?
