UTMB Spring 2012

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Thanks but that seems like such a long shot. Doubt when a decision is made they go back on it, no matter whose error. Alrhough we've all never met we've been in te same struggle with the same goal for the last 4 months. O feel like we all really know each other. Was looking forward to building on these relationships (Study Groups) once we were ALL I'm LOL! I'm so glad you Rocked your interview today, knew you would. Continuing to wish EVERYONE the best of Luck! AMD I'm sure you'll be playing your acceptance soon! ;)

Thanks but that seems like such a long shot. Doubt when a decision is made they go back on it, no matter whose error. Alrhough we've all never met we've been in te same struggle with the same goal for the last 4 months. O feel like we all really know each other. Was looking forward to building on these relationships (Study Groups) once we were ALL I'm LOL! I'm so glad you Rocked your interview today, knew you would. Continuing to wish EVERYONE the best of Luck! AMD I'm sure you'll be playing your acceptance soon! ;)

Sorry to hear that....i will say that i had the same problem but i caught mine around the end of july....and no to bring ur hopes down but it took about a month for them to get it togther....the only good news about this is that the day my star was fixed immediately i was called for interview the day after....i know that i talk to someone named amamnda and because of her it was fixed...hope things get fixed for you!!!! keep us updated.....and let me add i was interviewed on septmeber 9th and still havent heard anyhting

I just had my interview today!!! First time poster and long time lurker. My advice is to bring your transcripts especially if anything has changed since you first applied. My interviewer took my transcripts and made a note that I was done with all my prereqs. The interviewer also said chances for spring admission are much better than trying to get in for the fall semester. For everyone interviewing this week, we will hear back from them in the next week or two.

So Iam going to need a secod Interview and this is the reason I received from the Nursing school: I apologize for the mix up. The interview you had was not sufficient for an admission decision. You will need a second interview if you wish to be accepted for admission.

Gosh another drive down to Galveston! Congrats to all who Interviewed today and those waiting for acceptance letters!

I would strongly suggest contacting the Associate Dean...TC. You can call her or email for a fast response. If it wasn't your mistake then you shouldn't be punished for it! I'm sure you've worked long and hard and you just have to talk to the right person so it gets taken care of.

So when is your interview? Did you think your first one went well? First they told you yes you needed one, then it was a mistake, now you need one to be considered for admission?! Kind of crazy....lots of luck to you. At least you know how the process works and maybe you'll be more at ease this time knowing how things work!

Despite the nail biting and all the unknown I did at least feel as though I was an applicant worthy of an interview invite and I knew if invited they would get to know me as a person and that would only add to whats on paper.

Well now I guess I know why that never happened. As I stated in a previous lost for some unknown reason I haven't been able to log into MyStar recently, this made me nervous AMD suspicious. I called today and was told that she could see my info in MyStar BUT NOT in the Nursing Dept. database! HUH?!? I do know that they had it at one point from me calling to check on my application and being told that it had not been reviewed and now all of a sudden it's gone?!? Well we all know that doesn't mean good news. I was told that she couldnt explain or didnt know why this was and that my info would be passed along to the coordinator and she would give me a call back. I know that she's doing interviews today so not sure when if that may happen, on top of her being busy with everyone else's info. I'm still trying to find out about my MyStar (I feared this is why it was not working) or ANY information that I can. What I really want to know is if ALL of my info was received and processed properly, because I have had a few issues with enrollment services regarding that fact. However it seems as though my worst fears have been confirmed! DEVASTATED!

The school didnt put in my score until a month after the due date/ when i called. My app. is listed as incomplete..... I didn't hear anything back from anyone until last Friday when I received my acceptance. So don't give up hope keep trying. Good luck!

wow!! you got accepted already!!!! congrats!! did u get an interview?? or did u went in automatically!
