UTMB Spring 2012

Published

Hey Guys!

I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread for all UTMB Galveston's Spring 2012 traditional bsn applicants. Have you all started to apply yet or at least looked at the application? What do you think? How are your personal statements/testing going? If you guys have anything worth discussing please post and good luck to all!

Got an email today that stated that the SON had still not received any applications from enrollment services for consideration, but that my app was marked as 'ready for coding'. Appently once they are all 'coded' then they are sent over to the nursing dept. She also said that the interviews are planned for mid/late July and that an email would be sent if I am selected for an interview....UGH! I wish this was easier!

I was told they received all transcripts and they are ready for coding and after coding the application is sent over to the Nursing as well. Enrollment Services sent me this as an email because they never answer the phones.

Oh, good lawd! So which is it?? Are the apps currently in the coding process or nowhere near? This is so confusing...and frustrating. Grrr!

I applied last semester, deadline was Feb, I didn't hear until May about an interview...

I think they are in the process of coding... Mine was marked "ready for coding"...apparently they must be coded before going to the nursing dept before consideration takes place....Hopefully we start getting interview invites within a couple weeks :D

Hey guys so this has nothing to do with UTMB but I'm hoping some of you can help me out. I'm thinking about taking the HESI A2 test next month and have some questions. Is the test timed, if so how much time do we have for each section? Is it harder/easier than the TEAS? What's the hardest section in your opinion. Thanks!

rocket - where did you see coding at? which page?

mario - you have 4 hours to take the whole exam... i think that it is easier than the TEAS.

So I emailed **** to see when interview letters would go out. She said they hope to begin interviews in the next couple of weeks. I wish she was a lil more specific but at least we know it's getting near. I also asked what was a competitive application to make sure it was the same as what she was telling everybody else she said 3.4 gpa and a 75%+ on the TEAS. Im guessing the gpa is overall but I could be wrong.

I was told the coding info from the email i received from Enrollment Services.

I found about my app being ready for coding through enrollment services...

Hi guys! My name is Stephanie! I applied last semester and didn't get in :( I waited six months for a response, didn't get an interview then they finally sent me my rejection letter after waiting for that long. I am hoping that this application process is not as painful as the last and I am hoping for at least an interview this time. Good luck to everyone! Does anyone know how many applicants there are this semester?

First, I'm not sure if I am posting this the proper way but i'm giving it a try:) Anyway my question is the application (or maybe it was the website) stated before we applied we needed to have I believe it was 46 credits completed. Will they even bother to look if I will still be 3 classes short of the full 60 by the time the spring classes start? My TEAS and GPA are great though.
