UTMB Spring 2014 Applicants

The application process has just gotten under way for UTMB spring admission. Has anyone taken the TEAS tests? Any helpful hints on getting a high score?

About 400 applicants? I'm really :woot: surprised they gave you an actual number. I called earlier and all I was told is that interviews should begin earlier next month. Also keep in mind that the number eligible applicants will probably go down after they send out letters to those being declined. Just a thought but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

wait would they let us know if we've been rejected through or my star account as well?

I think that if your are rejected your MyStar just never changes from a green circle, I could be wrong though.

Wow if its 400 applicants that gives everybody about a 1 in 4 chance to get in! Its an even better chance if out of those 400 they already sent decline letters out! Hopefully we all get interviews so we can show them we have what it takes to make it at UTMB !

Maybe I'm reading your reply wrong, but did your status change? Nothing here and I suppose nothing will happen for at least a week if anything within that time. Hopefully an invitation to interview or a change on MyStar will happen in the next few days or weeks.

I was scared checking my mail today given that some rejects have already gone out! Anyways back to checking my online portal and email sporadically until I am notified of something.

Hey guys. Did anyone get accepted to the Spring 2014 FNP program? I got an acceptance email about a week ago and wanted to get in touch with anyone that will be starting with me! I initially applied for the fall but didnt get in. Guess they rolled my application over? I will be working full time throughout and I am anxious about that but it is what it is. Congratulations on your acceptance to the FNP program!! I think most of the people on this thread are awaiting acceptances to the BSN program but I could be wrong. If you don't mind me asking, did the admissions committee hold interviews for the FNP program as well?

So glad to hear some news!! Every time I have called, they keep saying "Next Week, Next Week." Well, if decline letters have already starting being sent out, I have not received one, and fingers crossed, I won't. I was actually wait-listed for the Fall 2013 BSN, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed, praying, and staying hopeful for the Spring!

As far as I know there aren't interviews for the FNP program. Good luck to all of you!
