  1. Hi everyone! I’m currently a registered nurse working in the state of New York and have had 2.5 years of experience in emergency medicine and one year is psych experience. I’m originally from Malaysia and wanted to work somewhere closer to home. Can anyone help me regarding the transition from being a nurse in the US to one in Australia or New Zealand? I’ve done some research and I know that I need to be registered with the NMBA for Australia but I’m not sure what the process is immigration wise. Any info is much appreciated 😁
  2. 0Hello everyone! I am a Malaysian who has lived in the US for over 11 years and gone to a nursing school in Texas and graduating with my BSN. I have even sat for the NCLEX (licensing exam) and passed it. I am officially licensed in the State of Texas as of February 2nd of 2016. I was working in Texas for 9 months before returning back to Malaysia. I am now in the process of apply for registration with the Nursing Board of Malaysia. I was told that there would be a 100 test question multiple choice as part of the registration process. My question is for anyone who has taken the test, if these test are more straight forward and more common sense in nature. I ask this because the NCLEX questions tested a nurse based on HOW to answer rather than if they actually recalled any information. I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense but that's the best way to describe it. Also are there any books that could help prepare me for the type of questions they ask? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

    Nursing in Singapore

You could visit the SNB website and it has all the information you need regarding foreign trained nurses working in Singapore. One of the main requirements to become registered with the nursing board in Singapore is that you must have a job offer first and the hospital or employer must apply on your behalf otherwise you can send as many job applications there as you want but they will not respond back because you are not yet registered with the nursing board there =\ I have tried to apply there and sent hundreds of applications but even explained to them that I am not able to be registered until I got a job offer but I didn't hear back from anyone.

  5. Hey guys I applied for the Spring semester of 2014 at Sam houston and just got a letter in the mail today saying I got accepted but upon further reading of the letter, on the letter they gave me to reply back to them on whether I'm attending or not, it say that it's for the fall of 2014 nursing cohort 6. I'm really confused and was just wondering has anyone encountered something similar to this?

    Prairie View Spring 2014 Applicants

I need some help, I took the HESI for UTH in June and thought that sending my scores through other schools was something we could do through the evolve website, so I've been delaying it until I sent in my application to the nursing school itself. But when I saw that we had to do request forms and that took 3-5 business days, it's going to be pass the due date and idk if they would still accept it after the due date even though i took the test before and I already sent it my application

    Took The HESI Today...

Congrats on your score! I'm taking mine this Friday and I'm really nervous I've recently taken a&p 2, is it true that most of the questions on the anatomy section are over stuff like the cardiovascular, urinary, digestive, and endocrine systems?
