UTMB Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a topic for UTMB's Fall 2021 BSN admission cycle. What are your stats? I will post mine below.

 

TEAS: 88.7

Science GPA: 3.5

Pre-Req GPA: 3.7

Overall: ~3.7

I have worked as a patient care tech at Baylor Scott & White since August 2020.

Hello! So after I submitted my application I got an email from UTMB school of nursing and it said this:

 

“To ensure your application is verified, please make certain all official college transcripts are received by NursingCAS no later than February 1, 2021. Once your transcripts are received, the status of your application will read ‘Complete’ and your application is placed in que to be verified. Verifications on average may take two weeks to complete. Once your application is verified, you will receive a notification and your application's status will change to Verified. Please check your application periodically to ensure your application moves through the application statuses above.” 
 

Once your application is verified you will receive your supplemental application. It takes a little while to get verified. I believe you are still alright, but I would call admissions just to make sure everything is moving along. I was in your position a few days ago and then my application was verified and I received my supplemental application quickly. I hope this helps!

@graceh Same!! My app says complete but no supplement app yet.

I called utmb office of admissions, a man Robert answered. He said the application has to be verified BY the deadline of February 1st. BUT I realized I called “enrollment services” so I called “admissions & nursing services” instead. I spoke with Laurie. She said they give a two week grace period to allow nursingcas to verify. The application and transcripts had to be marked COMPLETE BY February 1st

UPDATE: I called a woman who I saw on the UTMB website and she said as long as you have paid, everything is in, and it says complete that you should be fine! No need to be verified yet. I think those of us still waiting on a supplemental application are still okay, as long as it was complete by February 1st.

Correct! It’s important to note that this is usually the same across all nursing schools, as long as NursingCAS has received your transcripts and you’ve submitted by the deadline you’re good to go. It’s simply a matter of admissions contacting you once you are verified!

I submitted everything two days before the Feb 1st deadline and everything was verified the next day. UTMB sent me the supplemental application about 3 days later so if you haven't received the supplemental application yet I wouldn't worry! I have already received myStar portal login information and it says my application is complete.

Specializes in Nursing Student (Last Semester!).

Hi Everyone! I hope applications are going well. 

My name is Clay Sheppard and I'm a 3rd Semester (Almost 4th Semester) Class of Summer '21 at UTMB School of Nursing, I'm also a student ambassador at UTMB so I do the open houses sometimes.

Does anyone know when they will start sending out the first round of acceptances? 
 

I have a 3.5 andscored a 91 on the TEAS. I'm super nervous and keep checking every day!

I know they've already sent out lots of acceptances and a few rejections. When do y'all think the next wave of decisions will be?
