Hi everyone! I haven't seen a topic for UTMB's Fall 2021 BSN admission cycle. What are your stats? I will post mine below.

TEAS: 88.7

Science GPA: 3.5

Pre-Req GPA: 3.7

Overall: ~3.7

I have worked as a patient care tech at Baylor Scott & White since August 2020.

I know they've already sent out lots of acceptances and a few rejections. When do y'all think the next wave of decisions will be?

Based upon my experience (s) with the last app cycle I was in, it’ll most likely be this coming week/next week. Just keep an eye on your mystar and if “no active application” is seen, you should be receiving something soon.

Hi all,  Congratualtions on getting accepted to the BSN program! I am actually graduating here next week

Hello! I have been accepted to UTMB as well and I just wanted to ask you about your experience with UTMB. How were clinicals and do you feel well prepared? How are the professors and class structure? I've heard that other programs such as UThealth Cizik are not as organized as UTMB. Do most people live in Galveston or do they commute? Also, could you tell me if you know anything about the Honors Program and scholarships?

Sorry this is a lot ?

Hey girl, so glad to hear that! First, I will say that program directors did the best they could during the pandemic in terms of handling and having to completely change the way to carry out educating and getting us prepared for NCLEX with all of the required hours for clinicals and labs etc... From March 2020 -now we have had a mixture of virtual clinicals and labs that are done online with simulation courses as if you were making decisions in clinical but with computerized patients... We still had in person clinicals and labs as much as we could. I think we are back at 100% in clinicals but don't quote me. Atleast 4th semester was 100% in person. (things will start opening back up in the future).  Lectures will most likely still be online (and this is a blessing because it saves so much time and they usually record them so you can relisten). Your tests will most likely be on campus.

I don't live on the island because I am a long term resident of this area, but in know a lot of the people do live in Galveston and the student housing.

One of my good friends was in the honors program and she did very well. I know there are requirements that you have to fulfill to stay in the program like participating in student government and attending certain events and maybe some other stuff but it was manageable. I think she got her entire tuition covered to which was amazing.

My mystär account just says my application is complete. Im currently stressing

Hi all,

I couldn't find a forum for Spring 2022 so I thought I post in here to see if anyone can help. I am applying for the Spring 2022 cycle but am nervous to submit my app because of my stats or if I should wait till next cylce to up my TEAS and all.

Stats:

- GPA- 3.56,

-Science GPA- around a 3.2

TEAS score- 82

I am just unsure is this is competitive enough. I have other experience and am trying to make sure my personal statement is very strong as well. Any advice, help, or insight would be greatly appreciated

Same! I wasn't sure if that was their way of saying I didn't get in because nothing has changed since February. It is good to know I am not the only one waiting. Hopefully, we hear good news!!

Same here! Still waiting and it's making me so anxious. I believe the first round of accepted people had until today 04/16 to accept though. I am hopeful we will hear something this coming week!
