UTMB Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a topic for UTMB's Fall 2021 BSN admission cycle. What are your stats? I will post mine below.

TEAS: 88.7

Science GPA: 3.5

Pre-Req GPA: 3.7

Overall: ~3.7

I have worked as a patient care tech at Baylor Scott & White since August 2020.

Hello,

I applied to UTMB Fall 2021 as well. How do you calculate your science GPA? On my nursingcas application, I see several different GPAs.

My TEAS was wan 85.3, and I plan to retest. I have a prior bachelors degree from A&M and job experience as a tech and scribe.

I just averaged my GPA from both A&Ps, Micro and the elective science. I haven’t taken Chemistry yet.

I have my undergrad from A&M as well, gig em :)

Awesome! Gig 'em! Your stats sound great. I bet you will get in!

And okay, thank you. I wasn't sure which GPAs they looked at. I am taking micro in the Spring. I got a C in A&P1, so my science GPA isn't the greatest. I am a little doubtful about getting in for the fall, so I will definitely be reapplying for the Spring as well when that application opens in February!

Hey you guys!

My stats

Cumulative GPA: 3.45

Pre Req GPA: 3.74

Science GPA: 3.75

I took the TEAS almost a year ago and I plan to retake it Jan 7, 2021 as well as submit my application that day. Good luck to everyone!!

Hi guys! I've been waiting to see a thread for Fall 2021! I applied but Im a little nervous about my TEAS score, hoping my personal statement shines through! I plan to apply for Spring 22 as well JUST IN CASE

TEAS: 79

Science GPA: 3.88

Overall GPA: 3.77

Pre Req GPA: 3.77

I got my 'MyStar' login information today! I guess this is where we will check the status of our application instead of NursingCas.

Maggie, I am also going to apply for Spring 2022! I retake my TEAS on the 29th of January-right before the Spring application opens. Also, your GPA is great! You got this!

Hello everyone!

I just submitted my application for the traditional BSN Fall 2021 program at UTMB! I can’t believe I’m actually commenting on a thread in allnurses LOL, I’ve been reading comments on here for the longest time and here I am finally (hopefully) beginning my nursing school journey myself.  :)

Good luck to everyone!

hello! I am trying to finalize my application on nursing CAS just finished taking the TEAS on the 15th but I am having an issue where it won't let me type decimals for my scores in the questions section. I am trying to put 93.8 for the math section for example but it only lets me type 938. Anyone else had this issue?

Hi,

I just rounded down. You have to submit your score report anyways so they will be able to see your actual scores with the decimal points!

yes I was wondering if I should round down or not I sent them an email but I doubt ill get a reply haha! thank you so much

Hello! Also I was wondering if I should upload both TEAS score reports if I took it twice or just the one I scored higher on, did you happen to take it twice and upload both in the document section?

Hey gracestanzel, when I attended the virtual open house a few days ago we were told to submit only one TEAS score. Submit the score report for the highest scoring attempt!
