UTMB Fall 2020

Hey y'all! I will be applying for UTMB SON for fall 2020! I couldn't find a forum for it, so I decided to start one! It is a little early but many of you know it take forever to gather everything needed for the application! Please post all of your questions, stats, etc. SO excited to apply in November!

I was also accepted today. I hadn’t heard back from UTMB until now, I just randomly checked my portal and it said admitted and I paid the 200 dollar deposit. I still haven’t received my email that I’ve been accepted either.

TEAS: 82%

Nursing GPA: 3.4

Overall GPA: 3.17

I know my GPA isn’t the greatest but I feel my background and my Personal statement helped me out a lot. I Graduated from UTMB back in 2018 from their Respiratory Care Program and have been working at Texas Children’s in their CV-ICU and NICU. I’m not sure if me previously graduating from UTMB helped or not. But to those who weren’t admitted this term, keep trying. Do not give up. I was previously a nursing major back in 2015 and kept getting rejected until I went into RT school. Now 5 years later, I decided to give nursing school a shot again. If I can get into nursing school. You definitely can; I’ll be rooting for you all to succeeding! Keep me posted.

Is anyone else having trouble logging into their portal??

My application status hasn't changed and I havent heard anything back. If I dont hear anything in a few days I'm going with a another program I got accepted into.

My portal changed yesterday and I got the acceptance email this morning. So I would keep checking the portal for an update first.

I woke up to an Acceptance email today !!
this is my first time applying, I genuinely think my personal statement and resume helped me a lot. I was a dental assistant for a few years.

TEAS: 87.3
GPA: 3.5
Science GPA: 3.5 (I got a C in A&P1, A’s everything else)

does anyone know if all the acceptances are out? or if they will be sending another round? My application still says completed and I haven’t heard anything but I know some people got accepted yesterday.

They will be sending out applications up until the day of orientation is what a representative from the school told me when I asked about my application.

they will have all of the applications sent out before the day of admissions but if you get waitlisted you can be taken off up until the day of orientation
