UTMB Fall 2020

Hey y'all! I will be applying for UTMB SON for fall 2020! I couldn't find a forum for it, so I decided to start one! It is a little early but many of you know it take forever to gather everything needed for the application! Please post all of your questions, stats, etc. SO excited to apply in November!

they just sent a follow-up email. it was a typo and it should just say waitlist for fall 2020.

I see everyone posting they got waitlisted. I did too. I wonder how many people they normally take/what our chances are

So if they are starting to send out waitlisted emails, does that mean they’ve already sent out all the emails for people who got accepted?

They’ve sent out some in the first wave but I’m not sure about this wave. I haven’t received not one email, no waitlist, no rejection, no acceptance.

I haven’t either. My application still says complete.

Does anyone know if they send out acceptances in each both waves of emails? Or is is all acceptances, then all waitlists, then all the rejections?

Has anyone gotten accepted AFTER April 13th?

I’m pretty sure they still have more acceptances to send out. I was accepted the first round, and our facebook group through the school has 88 students. And they accept up to 130 I believe so there’s a few spots left.

I haven’t even gotten a rejection or waitlist email, or acceptance. And my friend told me that when she got excepted, someone she knew got accepted months after she did. I’m pretty sure they still have acceptance letters they are sending out because when I talked to a representative for the school they told me that they look at certain things in each wave of applications.

A spot may be available all the way up until August 25 according to the waitlist email because that is orientation week which is mandatory. So people have until then to give up/accept a spot I’m assuming

Hey! I was originally waitlisted for the Summer but was taken off the waitlist in February! For our cohort, they sent the first round of acceptances, then waitlist, and then another round of acceptances. Another person was taken off the waitlist this week and we start next month. So you can still get off the waitlist till orientation day! Keep So don't give up and good luck to everyone!!

So I’m assuming they send out rejection letters after all the waves of waitlist & acceptances?
