Hey! I wanted to make this post because I didn't see a thread for those who are applying to UTMB Galveston Fall 2018. I know application hasn't open yet, but I just took my teas score. I have no idea if it is good enough for UTMB standards. I currently have 40 hours, but by the end of this semester I will have around 53 credit hours. I have no idea how I should even start my personal statement. Would you guys be willing to share your stats? Any questions or comments please feel free to post! :)
My stats are
TEAS:
82% Overall
-Reading: 85.1%
-Math: 87.5%
-Science: 78.7%
-English and Language Use: 75.0%
GPA: 3.9 Overall
Did your friend get accepted, or is she applying this semester? I wish I would have had a chance to retake the TEAS. I did so poorly on the science because I haven't taken A&P 2 yet. I mentioned that in my personal statement, so I am hoping they will cut me some slack.
She's applying this semester.
But oh I see, yeah my teas had a lot of AP2, so hopefully they do cut you some slack.
Well, utmb doesn't have a limit as to how many times you can take it, but they do take it into consideration. The less the better!
Maybe call them and ask if you might still be able to? Some students earlier in the forum were taking it after the deadline and sending them by email. Call Katherine and ask she's super nice.
Best of luck to you and your friend! Are you applying anywhere else? I live in Galveston so my backup plan is going to Galveston College. I'm so ready to be working and making a decent living. :)
Thanks! Good luck to you too!
And ugh no I don't
My first and second semesters of college I had lots of family problems therefore it's been hard to bring my gpa passed a 3.3.
So I'm praying I get in to utmb. If not, I'll apply again in spring.
