UTMB Fall 2017

Hi everyone!

I cannot believe it's actually time for me to apply to nursing school. It seems like I've been working on my pre-reqs forever now and it's finally here. I didn't see any utmb 2017 fall hopefuls yet so I thought I'd create a thread. I'm having one heck of a time with the application process. I'm taking my teas next Wednesday and submitting my application after that. Has anyone sent in their transcripts through nursingCAS yet? Anyone have any pre-reqs they still need to complete? I have one last semester to finish. Good luck to everyone applying this semester!

Hey everyone,

My name is Hunter and I'm brand new to AllNurses. I made an account specifically to communicate with other applicants and perhaps current students if any are also on this. I would love to know a bit more about other applicants, and any information possible from current students or anyone who has extra information. I'd be happy to share anything I know as well!

A bit about me: I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Houston Honors College. Of course, I have taken the TEAS and sent in my NursingCAS application, academic transcript, and TEAS transcript. I am currently taking A&P2 and Lab, Elementary Microbiology and Lab (Pre-Nursing Microbiology is only offered in the Fall at UH and I need to have it done this semester if I'm accepted), Human Development and Interaction, and Nutrition. As you all can see, I waited quite a while to complete my sciences. All I have completed on my application is Chemistry and Lab, and A&P 1 and Lab. I have largely free-lanced my whole application process, as UH doesn't offer a real nursing program, so I haven't had any professional advisors aside from those at UTMB's Open House and within UTMB. Because of this, I do have a couple of questions I hope someone is able to answer:

1. How long will it be before the supplemental application is sent? I have gotten mixed answers and am not sure which is most likely/accurate.

2. How long should it take to be given final word (acceptance/rejection)?

I appreciate ANY information at all, be it regarding my specific questions or not. Even if it's something I already know, thank you for the help, advice, and tips in advance. :) Best of luck to us all, and I hope to talk to y'all soon!

Hello! I've been reading comments by everyone and I actually have been watching posts about the Summer 17 pool as well. This is making me kinda nervous, I don't think I'm considered competitive because of my scores on the TEAs

here's my stats

Teas overall: 78.7

Math: 96.9

Reading 83

Science: 63.9

English 70.8

Prerequisite GPA: 3.31

Sceince GPA: 3.80

Let me know what you guys think! And does anyone know if there is a way to retake the TEAS and send in new scores after the application has already been sent in?

I received my supplemental application 3 days after applying.

Hi guys! I am also new to this site/forum. I have applied and received my supplemental app a few days after applying. (My transcripts had already been verified) Has anyone received the mystar login info? I am anxious to see how the process will turn out. Wish the best to everyone!

Did everyone receive the supplemental application only after everything was verified in NursingCAS? NursingCAS still says "verifying" for me for some reason. If you only got it after this was cleared, about how long after it was cleared did it take?

I want to say it was about 48 hrs after everything was verified for them to send it to me.

Howdy y'all,

My application is still being verified. I'm freaking out right now because this is considered the end of the 2 week grace period. Did everyone else's application already become verified by now?
