Congrats to those who have already been accepted! I go to UTMB now, Im finishing my 2nd semester. I am selling my 1st semester textbooks that you will need(because you will read them ALL THE TIME)!

How many of you who have interviewed had to do a writing sample? I was asked to do one and my interviewer did not seem too concerned about it, I was told it was something they asked everyone to do. I am glad that I was called in to interview, we were going over what still needed to be completed and they didn't have 3 of my classes from last semester on my list as complete which really bothers me because they assured me that all my transcripts were received! I have since rectified that situation! My interview went very well and I left with very kind words coming from my interviewer!

I was asked to submit a writing sample as well, but it seemed really straight forward. Took 5-7 minutes.

I really enjoyed my interview on Tuesday even though I was a big bundle of nerves! My interviewer gave me great feedback and answered all of my questions. I left wanting more than ever to go to UTMB!

I was told that the committee will meet on Monday to discuss this week's interviews, so hopefully we will get our emails on Tuesday like last week's interviewees!

Thank goodness I have my 5 year old's star wars birthday party and St. Patty's Day festivities to keep my mind occupied until then or I might explode!

I agree. I thought the writing sample was about the easiest part there was! I was a bundle of nerves as well but my interviewer was a very sweet woman and helped me to relax! Happy Birthday to your Star Wars fan, I hope the party goes well! May the force be with you! lol

My writing sample was SUPER easy and I finished in just a few minutes. To me it didn't seem like my question warranted anything other than 1 answer. Rmegster - may the force be with your 5 year old I know I am studying this week for a test in Govt next Thursday!! Hopefully that keeps me "distracted" enough that I don't constantly check for updates.... Especially after my interview today went so wonderfully. I'm really hoping that it all went well enough and she has enough "pull" that I get "THE" email

I'm so excited, I came home and found my acceptance email today and jumped for joy! I couldnt believe my eyes! I'm so excited to meet you guys soon. Another round of interview is coming because my friend just received an email.they didn't say that she has an interview exactly, but it wasn't a rejection letter!!! So I'm excited for her too

What did the letter say for your friend? I'm curious, because while I was in there I asked if there were gonna be more interviews. She told me that this is about it, but mentioned there may be one more set later this month (she mentioned the 26-ish), but none are scheduled (that she has been told) for next week. And she also said that if we got an interview, it's not really 1st round or 2nd round. She said it's all lumped and then they just email random groups. BUT that if we made the interview then they were really interested in seeing how you'd "fit" with the program.

I've read through these posts and decided it was time to say hello. Hello!

I had an interview March 6 and recieved a 'congratulations and welcome!' email March 13. I am currently taking A&P2 and will take Microbiology this summer and that will be the last of my prereqs.

I currently live north of Dallas, so I'll be moving to Galveston. I think I'm past the stage of life where I could live in a dorm. Has anyone heard anything about student friendly apartments? Any one looking for a roommate?

I'm also curious about the financial aid situation. I would really like to know as soon as possible how much I'm eligible for so I can plan accordingly. Any suggestions on how to be more proactive with getting finaid info?
