UTMB Fall 2012

Published

HI! I am applying for the traditional BSN program at UTMB that starts Fall 2012. I am taking my TEAS this friday and I wanted to know if anyone else here is applying for the same semester. Hopefully there are others so I don't have to be nervous alone!! :D

You could do that, but I don't think it will really be that helpful. UTMB looks at so much more than numbers, and what they accept largely depends on the applicant pool. So while someone with a 3.2 may be accepted this semester, next semester the minimum may be 3.6 with a minimum TEAS of 88.6.

I know that the school looks at all of the above and then some. And unfortunately there is no way to determine what is used to accept their applicants. But I know that even though our "stats" aren't the only thing they look at, I sure tried seeing what those accepted into the program looked like. So I am positive that future applicants will do exactly like we did ;) Not to mention it will be SOO assitive if we had a list that will help us keep an up to date on everyone on here. I cannot constantly remember who has been accepted, denied, interviewed, etc......

I had an interview on Wed, 7. I havent heard anything back yet. I am so worried that I would get rejected. For those who were already accepted, how many outstanding credits u guys have left? And is that considered an early admission? I have 16 credits to finish, and I am taking all of them this semeter. I am so nervous now that I havent heard anything from UTMB

If I get rejection from UTMB, can I still reapply for another semester?

I interviewed on Tuesday March 6 and received my acceptance the following Tuesday. It was not considered early admission. I am currently enrolled in my last 14 hours at COM. Do not give up hope! There is no rhyme or reason to the way they do things! Just keep faith that what is meant to be is what will happen. Where there is a will there truly is a way. Just stay positive! I wish the best for everyone who has yet to interview and who are still waiting to hear back! Best of luck to all!

Today I am on "pins and needles" waiting.... This day is going to take forever since I know that we shouldn't hear from them today :( Maybe tomorrow! Fingers are crossed and good luck to all who have interviewed and are awaiting "the email".

Me too Hemphia! I just keep thinking about how, right NOW my fate at UTMB is being decided! I hope to get some good new tomorrow!

Good vibes to all those second rounders stressing out for the next 36 hours with us!

Wish I was in on the comittee meeting today! Lol

Also, remember that someone else has already received a letter of rejection- so there is still A BUNCH of hope :)! As far as on this forum shows only a few have been accepted! There were still a lot of other interviews! Remember- there is no system to the way they do things, no method to the madness! If you have good stats and feel your interview went well just try (as hard as I know it is) to be patient! Remember they also told us it would be at least 4 weeks before we heard anything and this Wednesday will only make two weeks :)! If thirty people had already been accepted I might worry a little more but only a few have already received acceptance from the first round! So just keep your head up and try to keep yourself busy!

I would LOVE to be a fly on the wall right about now ;)

So not what ANY of us want to hear, but I just talked to my interviewer, and she informed me that the whole school has been in meetings all day. She said that the committee has not met yet, but probably will later this afternoon. I say we all should relax... I know, easier said than done.... but all we're doing at this point is stressing ourselves out :uhoh3:

Bummer ... Well hopefully tomorrow then!

NOOOOOOO! SO sad! But i am thankful you made that call and found out that we probably won't be hearing anything for a while.

I was driving when i heard something that made me wanna share ;) In the words of Kelley Clarkson, "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, stand a little taller!" We should all be singing this no matter what happens!!

Maybe/hopefully tomorrow will be the day!
