UTMB Fall 2012

HI! I am applying for the traditional BSN program at UTMB that starts Fall 2012. I am taking my TEAS this friday and I wanted to know if anyone else here is applying for the same semester. Hopefully there are others so I don't have to be nervous alone!!

For those of you who interviewed.... Did you see many women in suits? Or just skirts with a blouse? And those accepted what did you wear to "dress to impress"?

I wore a black pencil skirt with a blue blouse and black heels. I didn't wear too much jewelry just simple earrings and a bracelet!

This is a question for those that received their acceptance letter within a week of the interview... did they tell you you would hear in a week or three weeks?

Just had my interview today and it would be great to know if I didn't have to wait 3 weeks to find out!

Actually, my interviewer said I'd hear back in about 4 weeks...I found out yesterday and my interview was last Wednesday. So hopefully not too long before then. I think they just put the max time so that we don't bug them

I wore suit pants with low heels, satin cami, cardigan and scarf. Simple necklace and earrings. I smiled and gave a firm handshake and tried hard to never say 'uh or 'umm... I've developed a great rapport with our professors and that is how I'm often dressed - seems pretty professional to me. I think suits are too stuffy :) Just be mindful of length if you wear skirt or dress - saw some inappropriate things when I interviewed!!

Don't get too discouraged yet - UTMB is famous for having a whole bunch of random notifications! Hang in there! (I know that's easier said that done though!)

i'm in! congrats to those who have been admitted and best of luck to those who have interviews this week!

it seems like they told everyone 3-4 weeks and everyone found out within a week.

dress to impress and wear something that you feel confident in! confidence matters! better to be overdressed than underdressed.

is there a facebook group for those admitted?

has anyone gotten a headstart on shots? anyone know where to find out the information on which ones we need? (last question) anyone know when we find out more on what to do (such as orientation, etc.)?
